The Civil Fire team were excellent. I don’t think we’ve had contractors come through before who were so clean and tidy, helpful and responsive with ideas about how to better maintain the heritage and be compliant and generally respectful of the property. Really pleased!
Came over to do the yearly inspection today... came home to a beeping smoke detector that had apparently been checked and was working perfectly well before I left home. Rang Civil Fire spoke to a very rude and sarcastic person who told me off and said it was my responsibility to check my own fire alarms not them...they didn't even know what type of smoke alarms we had after supposedly being over to check this large block of apartments... this is not the first time we've had rude technicians, smoke alarms that were defective installed new and failed within weeks with no responsibility taken by the installers... not even replacement offered... overcharging and putting in extra detectors not needed and charging an exorbitant rate. Shame they can't take responsibility for their mistakes and offer assistance instead of rudeness. We've complained several times about their over servicing, overcharging and bad service but nothing changes. Shame there isn't more competition or a decent alternative. Once again disgusted by the lack of care and concern.

We're fully aware the fire alarm annual inspection day the 8th of March and I was the person living in U18 29-33 Parkes Rd Artarmon. There was no one knocking the door or buzzing between 7-9am while I was sitting at front of my computer in the lounge room only 3m away form the door. I even went downstairs to check out before 9am as no one attended our unit but a civil fire 'missed you' card was placed on the door in the late afternoon. It looked like the very profitable '$290+GST reinspection fee' drove the quietness that morning. I'm contacting fair trading for advice as even if we're in the most disadvantaged argument position of 'hesay vs mysay' and 'all my fault' not hearing the gentle door knock by that gentleman, it'd be the umbudsman's call to justify the 5min Artarmon-Artarmon travel and 3min fire alarm smokering test.

We have worked with Civil Fire on a large number of residential strata schemes and have always been provided with an extremely high level of service and professionalism. The team at Civil Fire including Bec Maquire and Daniel Bryant are some of the best in the industry.

I cannot recommend Civil Fire highly enough. They responded to our call re a faulty alarm immediately and had it fixed same day. We are a strata block so it was imperative to have the repair done urgently. We have not used Civil Fire before and this was Melbourne Cup Day so we were extremely lucky to find them. Thank you Civil Fire.
