SDAC was recommended to me when I was trying to find a firm to repair our ASKO dishwasher. I am very grateful for that recommendation. The SDAC customer service was wonderful and a technician was booked for the next day, with payment made over the phone. Steve, the technician, contacted me prior to arrival and found the fault in the dishwasher, replaced the capacitor and tested it to ensure the machine worked well. We will certainly contact SDAC again if we need an appliance repaired and we highly recommend this firm.
Before making the booking I requested specific parts to our oven as we had already verified they were not available with Omega's spare parts distributor Residentia. The man taking the booking said that whilst he can't guarantee availability it was likely that the service van would have the parts in stock as they have a lot of Omega parts. On arrival the repairman assessed the oven and identified 3 parts that were required - none of which he had available with him which is disappointing considering I requested specific parts and quoted the oven model. When on site I asked the repairman if he could remove the fan from the oven to which he rudely replied 'Just remove it'. The call out fee of $165 was a complete waste of money, the service repairman was rude and the quoted price for repairs was 20% more than expensive than other suppliers. I would not recommend Sydney Domestic Appliances. Save your money and call the guys at ABCO who were lovely and very helpful.

I had a faulty ignition on my cooktop and was referred to SDAC by the manufacturers of the cook top .I was assured by the person taking my initial call that they could fix the issue and the service person normally carries all the required parts after I sent a video as requested .The cost of the call out would be $165 and the only further cost would be the parts as required .When the serviceman arrived he had no spare parts at all and told me the office would be in touch ,he was in and out in less than 5 minutes with no attempt to clean or repair the stove .The office got back to me with an inflated price for the parts of $380 .I contacted the manufacturer and was quoted $80 for the same part .When I mentioned this to SDAC was told a manager would be in touch but heard nothing .I recommend you avoid this company .

I've used Steve to repair several items and have been super-happy with every job. They are easy to deal with and most importantly - super reliable and reasonable.

I made a booking 2 weeks ago for the stoves and oven. The guy(operator) asked me for payment straight away when I made a booking and I told him I would pay it closer to the booking date. Why do you need to ask for payment now? It still 2 weeks job!!!My booking supposed to be tomorrow 10/2 and he called me in the afternoon about 3pm on 9/2. He said your booking for tomorrow has been cancelled and he offered me to make another booking on 21/2. I told him, I wasn’t new customer and this is my third time and I told him I am a full timer and just came back from business trip and my booking is tomorrow. How could you just cancel it from your end and today is only 9/2. It’s not too late to pay today because it’s for tomorrow!!! He never apologise and unprofessional at all. He hang up the phone while I am still talking to him. He shouldn’t be an operator at all. No customer service at all. Very bad customer service. All he cares about money. He was very good in harassing customer for money which hasn’t been due. He thinks that people are unemployed so can answer the calls anytime. He thinks after get the money then his job is done.

Repair technician couldn't work out how to use the doorbell and knocked the door so I missed them. They tried to charge a call out, came again to fix the fan on the oven, damaged the surrounding cupboard and didn't fix the issue. Came again a month later and replaced the fan which broke a month later. Very rude reception and terrible technicians.

Had an issue with my cooktop in April. Somebody finally came out in early June and took one quick look and said they need to order a replacement part, that should take a week or so. It's now July and after repeated attempts to contact them, they finally told me to call the manufacturer myself and order a replacement. If you want something repaired, be prepared to wait for months just to be told they can't do it.

Avoid this company! I described the problem (dryer drum band damage) and gave the specific model of Bosch dryer to the SDAC phone operator, who said the cost would be $165 + cost of parts. Despite advertising same day service and in-home service, when the repair person turned up, they said the job would be impossible to do on this model without taking it to his workshop and charging an additional $350, and wouldn't even be able to do it on the day. We declined this and he left after being with us for only 15 minutes, refusing to work on it in house (easiest $165 he's ever made). As a side, the phone operator was given the model number so should have known it was "impossible" to do the repair at home before offering us same day service in-home. Operator also never mentioned any additional costs beyond parts, while the technician said the $350 included extra costs to do with going to the workshop. Most importantly, I called up a Bosch representative, and they guaranteed their technicians can repair any of Bosch dryers in-house, and to avoid technicians who ask to take the dryers off-site. We have tried calling SDAC many times to get a refund for the complete lack of any service provided, and they have not answered their phones once. Very suspicious behaviour.
UPDATE: The Bosch technician completed the repair at home in 30 minutes. The cost of parts was only $17. Avoid getting ripped off at SDAC.

They told me the call out/service fee included all labour, but then after inspecting my dishwasher attempted to charge me $180 for a part which I could buy myself from a physical shop nearby for $48. I confirmed with that shop over the phone that we were talking about exact the same part using the model number.
Upon querying the price with the technician and a quick call to the office they reduced their offer to $138 but it took a firm and not particularly pleasant conversation to get them down to a more reasonable mark up on parts.
The technician was lovely and the phone customer service was perfectly professional, but they clearly aren't afraid to charge a pretty penny.
