Once the assessors, insurers and services had spoken to each other our job was dealt with very quickly. The tradesmen who came to do the work were polite and efficient and concerned that the work was done well, particularly when a problem arose with the effective connection of power on the first floor. They turned up at the promised time on both days and left the property clean after the work had been completed. Perhaps a little more communication of what was being done and had been done would have been helpful. However, I would call on Maincom again if I had an issue with electrical connections.

What can I say..
This will be a long one... But also somewhat consolidated, as the situation came down to also Dealing with the Insurance Company .
Mum is 89, and a recent widow, I spend a few days a week doing what a son needs to do...
Recently , A next door neighbours tree branch (Like all gum trees), Branch broke off, falling on the high power wires from Pole to house, Thus disconnecting power..
I live a good 45min from mum, luckily, mums most excellent neighbour, to rang her insurer , and with that, Obviously , the issue was so bad, the OZ grind guy had to come out and disconnect the main dual Twisted pair to the Bargeboard on the house, that literally was pulled from the house, including at least 5 meter s from the actual power box...
It was on the ground.. Follow?
Now, for histories sake , This had happened once before, but not to this degree…. A few years Prior, an over-height Truck , pulled down the same wires... To be honest, the fix was bodgy, under this insurance companies "official" builders fix..... The difference here, is…. This is more than a builder , this time… Follow?
The Original fix previously, was just bolted onto a thin piece of wood, …a replaced barge board… Thin as… etc.. And it literally didn't in anyway hold up again the branch that fell on it... But Alas, it also fell on the Telecom wire.... Not an issue before or now.. Which survived... Again !
Simply, Trying to deal with the insurance company, My parents with 9 or so Policies.... , The house , 60+ years under a policy with the non mentioned insurer….
And yet... They questioned, and Repeated their intensions… etc etc ect..
Simply, I was never called back by the insurance company, and I reiterate , my mum is 89 going on 90 this June.. and they just spun it into 36hrs of nothingness....
TLDR?
Heres my biggest of thumbs up for Ampower....
Greg came that wed, understood the situ... Kept in touch, Keeping his team on alert, because he knew the situ...
Again... Always in contact, mostly always answered the phone, and if i left a message (after all.. busy is just that right?) and he'd always call me back..
In the end 36 hrs later, by me conversing with him , he pushed the insurer hard through his top management....
That Friday, @ around 11 am, He got the go.. and Pete and an entire team turned up (around 8 people, with a mission !).. And working in a window, on a Fri, til around 5:30.. They not only had a new powerboard in place, but also new wiring, plus the Level 2 guys , now running a quad core twisted mains from Telegraph pole to a new (No longer bolted to a cheap bargeboard) But anchored though the tiles on to the structure of the roof..
Everyone was amazing...
...Simply, no short cuts needed.... Because they know their S--t.
I cannot recommend these guys enough... otherwise , I wouldn’t have taken a few weeks , nor almost a chapter to explain my experience dealing with these guys,,
