We have worked with Contemporary on a number of projects to date. Clare and her team have a great understanding of what is required as far as drawings and details are concerned. The practice also understand the the nuances and unpredictable nature of building and in particular the renovation sector of the industry. We are happy to recommend Clare and her team to anyone seeking an efficient and knowledgeable practice.
Clare did a brilliant job with the design for our home renovations in Lilyfield. Great to deal with a full of good ideas she helped us transform our small house to make the most of the space. At auction later we received an awesome price, in part due to the use of space. Highly recommended.

Clare, Jessica and the team at Contemporary Architecture designed us our dream home. From the outset, they were receptive, creative and honest. Our brief was for a light and breezy modern townhouse. The design was perfect and we absolutely love the finished product. They were reasonably priced and always approachable. Clare was especially great at working with the council to ensure our house plans were approved. Our builder commented on how detailed and thorough the plans were, and how streamlined that made the construction process. Would 100% recommend them to anyone. Happy to be contacted for a reference. So lucky to have found Clare to work on our project. We undertook an internet search, saw that many of her designs have appeared in magazines and subsequently interviewed her, plus two other architects. Whilst all three architects were talented, it was Clare's warm and approachable personality that won us over. We have really felt as though she has had a personal interest in our project, not just a professional one. The accurate attention to detail in the plans is exceptional. Contemporary Architecture have never missed a deadline. Anyone engaging Clare, and her team, will be in good hands.

The first time I met Clare for an initial consult she took very few notes, but showed what an exceptional listener she is because when I received Clare’s proposal it had captured all of the objectives I had discussed, and more. Since then she has guided us through the architectural steps of turning those objectives into 2D reality - and even 3D by providing a very useful 3D architectural tool (the most used app on my IPAD!) Clare was exceptional in dealing with North Sydney Council, treating their staff with the upmost respect. One of her strongest assets is she has a very good idea what council might / might not approve, due to her years of experience and the respect she has earned from Council. Clare is not an artistic person who is precious about her designs. She is open to discussing changes on what the client thinks might work better for them, and is open and honest when she thinks you might be making the wrong design decision. Could not recommend Clare and her company highly enough. 5 stars is just not enough.
