Overall

Great place for affordable off cuts. I got two large ply sheets for a project and they are super helpful and nice. I will definitely be back for all my wood needs.

Thanks to Among the Trees and Reverse Garbage for giving me an affordable options to make a coat wall in my rental home.

Loved the Thursday evening course. Repaired my chair and so very happy with the outcome. Classes were relaxed, Shane was patient and very generous in teaching and sharing information. I learnt so much. Would love to do the course again.

I needed a small shelf made for the bathroom. I’m really happy about how well it turned out, it’s beautiful wood and fits perfectly.

Among the Trees were exactly what we were looking for, excellent quality, well priced and timely service. The team made the process so easy, we popped in, explained what we were after and they provided sound advice on the custom build we were after to extend our kitchen island with a free standing table. Highly recommend!

I've had incredible experiences at Among the Trees! The teaching is exceptionally good and thorough. The instructors clearly love their craft and enjoy sharing their knowledge with others. Whether you’re a newbie or someone with experience, these classes are perfect for you.

One of the standout aspects is the emphasis on hands-on practice. They truly believe that practice is the best way to learn a new skill, and the classes provide all the skills you need to progress and build things on your own. Safety precautions are always taken, ensuring a safe and productive learning environment.

You'll learn useful skills using hand tools, which is a great way to immerse yourself in the craft. If you're a fan of Chris Schwarz and Lost Art Press, you'll especially appreciate the approach taken here. There's a strong focus on reusing timber, which not only creates beautiful pieces but also highlights the strength of old wood.

The workshop is well-equipped with sharp tools and an excellent setup. Overall, it's a fantastic place to learn and grow your woodworking skills. Highly recommend!
