Bought a house in Burleigh Waters in Jan 2023. Nice house, dated kitchen: sink in wrong place; fridge-space too small; elderly appliances, and so on. A complete knockdown/rebuild was required. Being recent blow-ins from Melbourne, we asked around for recommendations. Most told us who NOT to use. But a building inspector, an electrician, and a plumber suggested we try Currumbin Cabinets. Consistent response was “These guys are good. They won’t rip you off. But they are very busy.” We thought a lot about what we wanted in the new kitchen and made a high-level plan before we contacted Currumbin Cabinets. Brett came out a day or two later and we worked through the requirements and refined the preliminary design. This was a very useful exercise and stopped us from making “newby” mistakes. Brett was happy to share his experience and did not try to upsell in any way. A high-level estimate and initial drawings (in 3D) were subsequently prepared by Troy. The estimate was within budget so we decided to place the work with Currumbin Cabinets. This was in Sept 2023. We knew there was little chance of the work commencing before the end of 2023 as the order book was pretty full. Things started to move immediately after the Christmas shutdown. Final measure was done; Finishes selected; Trades came in (Electrician, Plumber, Tiler) to estimate their component. Final estimate received and accepted; Deposit paid; Build plan agreed. Troy/Brett arranged all of this and the Tradies, without exception, arrived when they said they would. The old kitchen was removed in early March and the next day the Plumber came in to cut the slab for the electrics to the island bench and to move plumbing. The electrician installed the new wiring for plug points and the induction cooktop. The Plasterer fixed up the architraves and then it was the Tiler’s turn to fix the floor It went like clockwork. And then, Murphy’s law kicked in. The engineered stone required for the benchtops was out of stock. This happened because of the spike in demand for engineered stone after the Govt banned its use from July 2024. Ever man and his dog wanted stone before the deadline, and we were in there with the rest. Troy organised for the Electrician to come over and wire up some of the plugs and we made temporary benchtops using the shelving from the kitchen cupboards, so we had a kitchen of sorts, but no sink. Inconvenient, but not the end of the world. The stone arrived about a week after Easter and things were back on track soon afterwards. Plumbers back in to install the sink; Electrician in to wire up the induction top; and finally, installation of the glass splashbacks. The end result is stunning (See before and after photos). Troy and Brett have been great to work with. The product they create is of the highest quality and their delivery is second to none. Their overall estimate was almost spot on. No surprises. I find myself echoing the response from the Tradies we spoke to when looking for recommendations: “These guys are good. They won’t rip you off” and yes they are busy, but the wait was worth it.

We had two custom vanity units in need of updating and Currumbin cabinets were quick to attend design and quote the job. We are very pleased with the final result and look forward to getting the laundry renovation done with Currumbin cabinets as well.

We used Currumbin Cabinets to install our new kitchen. They helped me design my ideas, suggest changes and we’re very patient with me when I was indecisive at times. I looked in the showroom at different benchtops and cupboard options and Both Troy and Brett were very helpful with design suggestions. Currumbin cabinets removed our old kitchen and we were completely shocked at how quick the process was but also how clean the house was left when we got home from work! It was such a relief, no dust! It was all cleaned up! The Boys at Currumbin cabinets were polite and courteous at all times and it was a pleasure to have them work on our kitchen. The kitchen was installed really quickly and during the lockdown when things were a bit chaotic the liaising with other trades to do electrics, plastering, plumbing etc was seamless! We would highly recommend Currumbin cabinets and will use them again for our other projects. ???

We went to the boys with our own design and cutting list, as hubby was installing it into our home. The kitchen is now in, everything is perfect! Nothing is too much trouble for them and they accommodated all of our needs. We were indecisive but they helped us and are so down to earth and professional. Communication via email and in person was prompt, efficient and friendly. Highly recommended!! An absolute pleasure to deal with and very affordable for quality cabinets and bench tops, thanks guys!

I had a kitchen made by Currumbin Cabinets and I loved it so much I got them back to do my laundry. The workmanship is excellent, they were quick and professional. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them if you need any cabinetry in your home/workplace. I'm extremely happy. Pauline.

Currumbin Cabinets have recently supplied us with a complete set of cabinets and wardrobes for a large bedroom, a WIW, an ensuite and toilet. The job was done in a most professional manner, the quoting was efficient and accurate, the manufacture was done according to the agreed schedule, the installation was done on time and most efficiently. All the staff were helpful and friendly, the coordination of other trades was spot on and the final price was as first discussed. We are delighted with the end result and recommend this firm unreservedly. If all Aussie suppliers were as good as these guys, we would have far less imports into the country. Give them a go, they are worth it.

Used Currumbin Cabinets for our bathroom timber laminate cabinet only to have the joins separating after 6 months (and this was not due to water contact) . When we contacted them about the issue the response was in other words ‘tough luck’. If you want long lasting (+ 6months) cabinetry I highly recommend you seek it elsewhere. A real shame having to write this but when their response to their product is so surprisingly poor, a review of this manner to make the public aware is inevitable.
