I engaged Coastal Stairs in May 2023 with a view to moving into my newly built home by Xmas. Come November they had done nothing, not even finalise engineering drawings so I had no choice but to sever ties. My builder tried to contact them numerous times for updates but they refused to answer calls and/or respond. Then they tried to blame me/us for changing our minds, but all we wanted was a copy of their drawings to ensure they were consistent with our house plans. They caused my family and I great stress because I had to engage a new staircase supplier very late into my build. They set me back 6 months and I moved into my new home in May 2024. I can’t comment on their quality of work because I didn’t see any. What I can comment on is their lack of customer service and human empathy. I remain >$1,000 out of pocket because they didn’t even have the common decency to refund my deposit in full. I strongly suggest you look elsewhere! PS- My star rating is only as high as 1 because you can’t rate lower than that.

We were very impressed with the service and information that we received when we first called into the factory/showroom in Moolap. Tiffiny was super helpful in talking us through our options and what might be the best look for us. Once we had decided on the style and materials we wanted, we waited until we were at the stage of our renovation when we could ask the team to come out and measure. The nice young man that came to the house was helpful and friendly. We were also impressed that he discussed options with our builder so that we would achieve the best look. Finally we were at the stage when the stairs could go in. The boys that came out to start the work were on time, friendly and were on the ball. There wasn't any fuss or bother, they got on with the job and managed to crack a joke or two. We felt really comfortable that the boys were doing the best job! We are only halfway through the install (we have to wait for the painter to finish) but the team at Coastal have organised a date for when they will come back and finish! To be honest we didn't shop around as we were happy with the price that we paid for the stairs that we wanted. It was nice not to have to "negotiate " and quibble over price. Coastal have been liaising with our builder and he is really happy with the smooth communication. Emails are promptly answered phone calls are returned. It's been easy! Our stairs are going to look really good and we are really happy. In summary, great price, great service and a fabulous looking product! Well done

We are extremely happy with our balustrades and staircases that have been manufactured and installed by Coastal Staircases. Everyone that sees them is very impressed with the quality and workmanship. Coastal Staircases always deliver top quality finished products on time and at a reasonable value. We used them to create our restaurant dining tables, bar benches and they were finished beautifully and joined to perfection. Would recommend to any customer looking to get some timber work done!

From the beginning to the end, these guys delivered quality and great customer service. All we needed was a handrail and it is perfect. From Tiffiny in the office to the boys that came out to measure and install, all was communicated perfectly and workmanship was excellent.
