We chose Freehold Concrete, and we were sure glad we did. We replaced our 2-car driveway as well as the pad underneath the front veranda. Right from the start when we were looking for quotes, they showed their professionalism. Dylan was over shortly after to take measurements and see what the job all entailed. He was very knowledgeable, provided excellent input on what we were looking to achieve. I had 3 quotes done up, pricing was quite reasonable but with the communication and confidence he provided it was an easy decision to go with Freehold Concrete. When it came time to tear out the old driveway and the pad under the veranda, Dylan and his crew were excellent. They all arrived on time, the removal and prep work was done so clean, quick and efficient. It was so awesome to see the work ethic that they all held. The day of the pour it was no different. Before we knew it, the job was complete, and our new concrete looked great. I have recommended Freehold Concrete to a few friends/neighbors that have asked and will continue to do so. Well done, thanks for the new pad!
Can’t comment on their work as they won’t even provide a quote. The owner Dylan can to do a site inspection and provide a quote. He said he would have it back the same day. After an email to him and 3 check-in texts to one of his employees we are still left without a quote for a large patio in our backyard. It is so strange that you would take the time to come to the site and then just ghost the customer.

I wish I had good things to say about Freehold - we were very happy with the original work done (we spent a lot replacing our front sidewalk, replaced the stairs and got a front patio built). Sadly, within a few months we had HUGE cracks in the sidewalk and big patches of concrete on the front steps started lifting and separating. Dylan came to repair the delamination and said he would try a patch job, but if it didn’t work they could try something else or replace it. He did come and do a patch job, but the problem persisted. When I reached out again, he said he’d come at the end of the season to fix it again. That was over a year ago… I’ve reached out multiple times and they have not responded. Its too bad because the original customer service and quality seemed great…

Summary-If and when we ever need concrete work done again or if any friend or family asks who to go to, I will unreservedly say Freehold. Period.
Job Details-We had our 2-car garage pad and driveway lowered and replaced and a step and pad to the main walk installed in a dark grey concrete.
Research-With nightmare stories (friends, our own, and online) of concrete jobs ‘gone bad’ front of mind we asked others, got references, looked online for reviews/stories/BBB, looked at previous work, and got a few bids. Freehold was on the higher side price-wise but the confidence we got from Dylan and Daniel that they would look after us and, their experience, and with their detailed attention to all aspects of their work, it sealed the deal.
In all honesty, there was some unfortunate surface issues a few months later but Freehold stepped up to fix and replace to make it right. For those new to renovating, understand that mostly things go fine but sometimes, despite all the planning, efforts and great execution, things do happen. How will your contractor respond then? They all “say” they will stand behind it. Will they? A neighbor with someone else is still trying to sort things years later. Freehold did right by their word. That says TONNES!
The work-We are very happy with the great work, both aesthetically and structurally. There were no shortcuts, they went above and beyond with materials and procedures, and we feel good about the job and Freehold. They were polite, on-time, and professional at all times.

We are so glad we chose Freehold Concrete! During the initial assessment process they were quick to respond and answer all our questions and concerns. Dylan showed incredible detail and knowledge while walking our property with us and showed us any concerns and provided suggestions. We had an original plan which needed to be revised because of the slope of our yard, but he had several ideas and suggestions which helped us decide on an even better plan. The whole work crew was professional, polite, clean and paid close detail to our home and left it in better than original condition (cleaned out window wells and took away extra yard garbage). We were well informed throughout the process and instructed on care and maintenance. Communication via email was answered quickly and concerns were dealt with immediately. We will recommend this company over and over again!

We were very impressed with the work and the service. The team demolished our long 1950's concrete driveway day 1 and day 2 they poured the new driveway. Very quick and painless. And their whole team is friendly/easy to talk to. Added bonus: Getting to pet their doggos

Short version, WOW!! I was more than happy to hand over payment, HIRE Freehold… Keep reading for the long story.
I had a very large landscape project to do, I needed to make the entire yard wheelchair accessible, this included the following.
Rip out old wooden deck, ramp and replace with concreate patio and ramp, pave the entire backyard, pave side of the house, add in a new front walkway, poor pad for wheelchair lift, remove part of old paved sidewalk, remove old paved wheelchair pad. It was a lot and I was very worried due to the scope and cost.
I had a few quotes done, with ideas ranging from paving stones for everything, stamped concreate, aggregate concrete, with various costs associated.
I had used Freehold before about 8 years ago and they did a great job, to be honest I didn’t have them on my first round of quotes as I was also going to do some fence work and was looking at getting everything done at once, due to the price of wood skyrocketing I decided to focus on just the paving, as such I dug up an old email and gave them a call.
Daniel came out, I showed him what I wanted to do, what I needed for access, my concerns with slope, not wanting it to look like a parking lot, along with other concerns that came up in the other quotes. He was great, very straight forward and made excellent suggestions. He wrote up a quote, I was able to make changes easily and get a very quick response. The project was huge and so was the quote, but I needed it done and based on the other quotes it was very reasonable Having used them before and reading some reviews of the other contractors, I picked FreeHold.
Due to the size of the project I had to wait about 2 months for the work to start, it was going to take 3 days plus drying time.
About 2 weeks before the start date Daniel came by to review the project, this was great as it was reassurance for the work that would be taking place, timelines and a better idea of the process.
The magical day arrived, Daniel and the crew arrived just after 7am and started to do their thing, Dylan the owner also came by which was also reassuring, I was very nervous, I was able go over one last time with both Daniel and Dylan, made a few small changes and away they went. I was only able to stay in the house for the morning on the first day as both entrances would be removed.
So many great things that I saw and the amount of work was huge, these are some of the highlights out of so many.
1) The Crew was professional, fast and cleared out a lot of yard, it was a sight to see
2) They kept the area and road clean, sweeping up as needed
3) I received updates and pictures to finalize some key areas for access, this was important due to the wheelchair and access.
4) I came by to watch the second day, as they were putting forms in, again a sight to see, at this point I was able to see things come together, again crew was professional and friendly.
5) They were careful as they poured, I watched them wipe down the doors and clean up splashes, as they went along.
6) They have a person come by and clean up after, removing the forms, sweeping all the poured area and more, fixing and cleaning anything they can see. I didn’t expect this at all, they also fixed some grading in the ally that connected to the pad, again above and beyond
7) Walk through with Dylan on the following Monday, I had a few areas of concern all addressed right away and had the general fixit person (Sorry I don’t recall his name) come by to take care of a few items.
The best way to sum up this project is that I was very happy to hand over the payment, I feel I got more than what I paid for with the amount of work that was done along with items that are hard to apply a monitory value such as the service, professionalism and the little extras that I never expected, above and beyond everyday, and giving me something that I have been waiting 8 years for.
Being able to finally use and access my whole property from my wheelchair, is emotional and a huge game changer for me!! They nailed the whole project.

From the get go my experience with Daniel & Dylan was nothing but great. They were receptive and attentive to what I was looking for in redoing my front sidewalk in May - from providing a clear quote and the work done. I couldn’t believe how in 2 days they were able to dig out, frame, and pour the concrete. The level of detail was impressive. Would highly recommend their services!
Thanks again gents!

I have nothing but good things to say about our experience with the people at Freehold Concrete.
During the consultation leading to the estimate, we got a good feeling about the level of expertise of the project manager and his desire to meet our specific needs. We got a second quote from another company and did not get the same impression (and their estimate was quite a bit higher).
The cribbing crew showed up on time and worked a full 12 hour day to complete the job. Throughout the day, the crew master called us out to offer design options, all of which turned out to be better than what we had envisioned. The crew was courteous and polite and worked hard and efficiently.
The pouring/finishing crew arrived 2 days later and also did a great job. It only took them 2 hours.
I have no reservations about recommending Freehold Concrete to family and friends.
