We reached out to Hyland amongst many other landscape companies on our search to revamp our backyard space early last summer. The space was quite small and we wanted to create something that we could enjoy as a family of 5. After consultation with a number of companies we felt the best about our conversation with Mike who had a good sense of what we wanted to achieve and the budget we were working with. Mike was honest in his assessment and was able to kick start the project and design process. Mike had a good eye for detail and design and made great suggestions as we collaborated during the early phase of planning and assessment phase. Once planning was done Mike handed off the project to Nick but remained involved.
Nick was very knowledgeable about and has a good eye for detail. As most projects go, there were adjustments to the original design and Hyland (Nick and Jake in particular) were good about managing the changes. Nick was always responsive to my suggestions and they were understanding of the finer details that I wanted addressed with various aspects of the job. We ended up needed to modify the design due to site challenges but he was patient and was able to adapt on the fly and make great suggestions to materials and layout.
While the project took longer than we anticipated, the end result was excellent and I feel confident working with Hyland to recommend them for your design and build needs.
I have just used this company’s services for the second time and have been very impressed in each instance. Our maintenance person, Mike, was knowledgeable, hardworking and easy to communicate with. He answered all of my questions and was able to give useful advice. He was also proactive in finding additional work that needed doing. The company’s office staff were friendly and professional when I contacted them. I would definitely recommend this company and will be using them again in the future.

I am president of the Dunbar Lawn Bowling Club. We contracted with Hyland Landscapes to install new plinth boards around our green and level the sod about 4’ around the whole perimeter. I believe this was a new type of job for Hyland. We have been very impressed with Hyland from the beginning going back to my first request for a quote that I needed for a grant application, which Nick Sharma provided very quickly. The people we delt with at Hyland are both highly professional and competent, while also being friendly and amenable to answering questions quickly. At one point in the project we had some concerns about aspects of the work, which did entail some changes. Nick immediately came onto the scene, spoke with us and those working on the project to find the way to best fix the problem. Improvements were made quickly and effectively so that in the end we had a better outcome than even originally planned. We highly recommend Hyland Landscapes for their professionalism and expertise along with their excellent working relationship.

Hyland recently completed a full design and install for our new build with a rather challenging backyard. They took into consideration how we would use our space and made suggestions as the process went on. Their team was on time and always respectful of the area by ensuring it was cleaned up every evening. They partnered with Shan Bodie for the plant selection to install beautiful, low-maintenance, native plants. Every concern or question I had was taken seriously and addressed quickly. In particular, Nick Sharma's knowledge of drainage requirements and his respectful approach and collaboration with our builder saved us from what would likely have been huge issues in the future.
Our backyard has been completely transformed into a functional, peaceful and absolutely STUNNING space for our family to enjoy.

I owe my backyard to them. I have a family of 5 and a functional backyard means a lot to us. I was installing artificial turf and they saved me from a horrible experience. I had originally hired a terrible contractor for the job but after he tried to scam me out of thousands I parted ways and asked Hyland (who was working on my neighbors beautiful yard at the time) to help me finish the work. It was a smallish job for them but they helped me out and took over. I immediately knew I was in good hands. The workers were friendly, on time and very professional. The work was done quickly and with care. They addressed all my concerns and quickly corrected anything that wasn't done perfectly. I can assure you, you will be in good hands with Mike and Nick. I know whenever I start my next big project I'm going to reach out to Hyland first.

We recently engaged the services of Hyland Landscapes to tackle our penthouse roof deck. It had become terribly overgrown and infested with weeds and was beginning to affect our views. Hyland's Brian Tartt came by to assess the work and a week later, he lead a team of 3 that did an amazing job. In a few short hours, our roof deck has been transformed from an embarrassment to something we are really proud of. In addition to the excellent work, Brian and his team immaculately cleaned up all the cuttings and offered us first rate advice on future plant and hedge ideas. We have since decided to engage Hyland Landscapes for ongoing deck maintenance. We are delighted with their prompt and efficient service. Highly recommended!

We tasked Hyland Landscapes with a rather large makeover of our penthouse rooftop patio and they made it look fantastic! Brian and his team were very adaptable to our requests and accommodating of our quick timeline. Thank you for all your help!

They took my rough ideas and helped transformed our backyard, and took care of all the issues that cropped up along the way.
We are very happy with the finished product, it really turned out the way I envisioned in my mind. We now have a yard that is way more enjoyable, plus a cover with garage door for our car!
