Had the pleasure with speaking and doing business with Justin. I’m a beginner at any sort of woodworking and he was very patient with walking me through what I needed and provided his expertise every step of the way. What really stood out to me was his customer service! We had a bit of a mishap and Justin quickly helped resolve our issue very promptly. I’ll definitely be back the next time I need some wood and highly recommend this shop to everyone else as well.
I worked with Ed Smith and A&M for custom milled wood wall panels. Ed generated the wrong takeoff numbers, resulting in me receiving too little wood - all while charging me a small fortune for shipping. That mistake of course required me to have a second shipment (same exorbitant price) sent to me after he said the additional 34 boards would be a "few hundred dollars". Note that he never gave me an exact dollar number estimate. The invoice turned out to be $376 for the extra boards. Fine. A few days later, he sends me an email saying "oh there was a mistake and you actually owe us an additional $1,000+". So he lied about the lumber cost. Ed's communication through this entire saga was non-existent, forcing me to constantly call him for updates. I suggest you think twice (or more) before doing any business with A&M. These are not reputable or competent people.

Justin has been great help in our recent woodworking projects! The entire team has been very helpful and super knowledgeable. I would highly recommend coming here for all your woody needs!

Friendly and helpful staff, great selection.
I came on two occasions so far to look for wood veneers and epoxy resin. They have a sizeable selection of wood products and very knowledgeable staff that helped me with all my questions. The building structure is entirely exposed, so there's no insulation and I imagine it'll be quite chilly during colder seasons. I really didn't think there would be a store like this for all kinds of woodworking needs in Cambridge
