This company was very helpful to us for quick inspections of our home so we can apply for our new furnace rebates. The receptionist was wonderful and made an appointment for us, but then suggested we make our return appointment at that time so that we did not have to wait as calendars were filling quickly. Excellent idea. Our service person was wonderful and helped us fill out the forms and efficiently and quickly did the inspections. Well done.

Do not use AmeriSpec for energy audits for the Enbridge HER+ program. For one, their wait times for an appointment were about 3 times longer than the other company that I contacted. After reading positive reviews, I went with them since they were the cheaper option but I regret it. It was a long wait for an appointment, then they took a month after calling to come back for the post retrofit and then another 15 days for the report. Our inspector told us and provided documentation saying that we qualified for $795 more in rebates than they submitted to the HER+ grant. Their response was "the results are the results" and "the auditor does not know the end result". They charged us a LOT of money for the bare minimum work (less than 10 minutes spent here in the second inspection and not long on the first audit either) and now have changed the amount of our grant, citing they have no control over what qualifies. (Why tell us in writing and verbally that we qualify and then say we don't?) It's a total money grab to take advantage of people who need these inspections to take advantage of the government rebates.

Henry Fong was very professional and open to answer all questions I had regarding the audit. He offered advice to insulate against air leaks in my home. I found the inspection to be very thorough as opposed to another I had done recently. He checked the attic down to the crawlspace, and the blower door test revealed just how much air leakage my house has. Henry was here for 3 hours and was very patient will all my questions. I would 100% recommend Henry Fong and Amerispec.
