What a pleasure it was to work with Dan and his team at Stone Masters. The installation of quartz countertops (Silestone Callacatta Gold) turned out fantastic!
From my initial visit with Dan, he immediately gained my confidence with taking on this important project. Dan's depth of experience and knowledge along with his people skills and pleasing personality made it a sure fit.

When my wife and I decided on stone countertops we started out by identifying providers with excellent reviews. We picked the top five and visited them. While we were happy with all of them, Dan from Stone Masters stood out. He shared his industry knowledge and helped us understand costing… which ultimately saved us money. We were also really happy with the end product and installation. We highly recommend Stone Masters.

It has been a delight doing business with Dan. He produced a stunning countertop, island, and backsplash. The way he matched the veins and how beautifully his team installed those pieces is commendable. But more than that, his and each member of his team's attitude and willingness to go above and beyond to help the client made the experience of working with them amazing. I highly recommend Dan. Stone Masters provided exceptional service from the start. When we first visited she showroom, the staff was knowledgeable and provided helpful suggestions to stay on budget and get the look we wanted. They arranged for the spaces to get measured and installed. Crews were respectful and courteous. We had many spaces where counter tops were installed and all were a perfect fit. They look beautiful!! We would definitely recommend stone masters. Thank you Dan, Nick and crew.

A+++ for the whole team at Stonemasters. We had a tv unit project that Dan, Mike and Wayne (plus others we didn’t see in the shop) supported.
From beginning to end, the professionalism, communication, and precision on details was there. As a detail oriented person, this gave me comfort knowing we had only one shot to get things right. Cutting stone is no small feat, when the raw materials cost thousands of dollars.
Dan was the most creative in the sales process. He was able to work the numbers so our project only required one marble slab instead of two, which saved us a few thousand dollars.
Calculating the measurements with Dan was great. He called me multiple times to set, confirm, and even adjust my expectations. I appreciated it.
On install, Mike noticed the top piece was 1/8 of an inch too tall. Such a tiny amount. When they came back, the piece fit like Cinderella’s slipper and not a mark was made on the ceiling getting the piece in.

I want to Sincerely thank Dan and his team for the excellent service and the outstanding quality of work . Dan and his team showed tremendous care and patience and was able to book match my quartz waterfall island and backsplash. The kitchen was complex but Dan managed to utilize the slabs effectively. Not only was Stonemaster better in price but superior in service and quality by constant communication and punctuality. I will continue to work with Dan in the future to supply and install my vanities!

We chose Stonemasters because of all the great reviews. Unfortunately, we have been a little disappointed with our experience so far. Dan, the owner, is really nice and responsive. In this we absolutely agree with the other reviews.
Our issue was with the quality of the workmanship and the length of time for install.
Stonemasters did the countertop and backsplash for our new kitchen. Dan advised the following: because we were in a condo, the countertop would have to be split down the middle, but not to worry, as the seam wouldn't be visible; installation of the countertop normally happens within 2 weeks, but certainly no more than 3 weeks from the time our kitchen cabinets are installed (to allow for accurate measurements and the contractor's scheduling); and the edges would be mitered to give a clean, straight edged look.
It took longer than 3 weeks for the install, which we could have lived with if that was the only issue. After the countertop install, we were told that it would take another week before the backsplash could be installed. Again, it took longer than a week for the backsplash install given the availability of the contractors. Finally, as Dan didn't have a colour-matched glue on hand, we were informed we'd have to wait another week or 2 for that glue to arrive. By the time the glue arrived we had 6 guests visiting and had to postpone the final fixes.
With respect to timing, we appreciate that a good install might require more than a single visit to get done right. However, in our case, it took quite a bit longer than what we were told, and some of the delay could have been easily avoided as explained below.
In terms of workmanship, it was clear that the contractors were rushed. It's likely not their fault. They told us they had two more jobs after ours and it was already 1pm. As a result, the workmanship was a bit sloppy: the joints were not properly polished and remained a bit coarse, so we have patches where the finish is different on the countertop; the edges looked over sanded, so instead of being a sharp mitered edge, they were slightly rounded (not what was shown to us in the showroom); the countertop itself, when mounted, must have been forced into place as the the brand new plaster and paint job that our kitchen guys had done was damaged as the countertop was too long; the silicone used between the bottom of the waterfall and the floors started coming off after a couple of days. Finally, as mentioned above, the glue that was used to join the the slabs was way too dark, so from the beginning it looked like our brand new countertop had a giant crack right in the middle of our kitchen.
When the contractors came back to install the backsplash they used a different compound instead of the clear silicone, which was an improvement. But they didn't have time to address the polish and the new glue they used was still the wrong colour. That's when Dan told us that he would have to order a colour-matched glue from the manufacturer. It was unfortunate that Dan waited for us to express disappointment before ordering the right glue instead of doing this from the outset which would have reduced delay.
We reported the issues to Dan and he was understanding and receptive and assured us that the work would be corrected. But, the fact is that many of these issues didn't need to happen if proper care had been taken from the outset and if the right product had been ordered in a timely way. So, while it may be that these issues can be fixed, it doesn't change the fact that having additional visits is also time out of our jobs and extra hassle.
We had planned to get our 2 bathrooms done through Stonemasters, but are now hesitant. We are awaiting the final work, and are just hoping that it will be done in a way that brings it in-line with expectations. The photos I've posted are from the seam in the backsplash, countertop and 2 waterfall island joints.

Excellent service and customer experience! Dan has now installed our kitchen countertop, our pantry countertop and - most recently - he fabricated our marble crystal fireplace. Dan is a professional and makes sure you are happy with every aspect of the work that he does! He helped us in so many ways: from selecting appropriate material for our countertop to the many months of searching for the perfect fireplace stone - all the time conscious of our budget and style. He stayed in regular communication with us, which I greatly appreciated. We would definitely recommend.

We had a great experience with Stonemasters. Service was prompt and professional at a good price. We are very happy with the countertop, sink and faucet we had installed. We had a concern a few days after it was installed and when I contacted Dan about it he responded within a few minutes and resolved everything. Highly recommended.
