I'm so happy with my cabinets from DIY Alcove Cabinets. The whole process was seamless. I had a large delivery consisting of 4 different cupboard sets in my home and not a single piece was missing or had error. I requested custom chapel shaped cuts on the bedroom cupboards which John did perfectly.

I Always wanted alcove cupboards with detail as if they had always been there. I read the reviews and decided to take the plunge. Measuring is straight forward communication is excellent .
I decided to hire a joiner to fit the cabinets as I didn’t feel confident to fit properly as some scribing need to be done.
The joiner commented on how good the units had been accurately made the detail and how everything fitted together. He actually enjoyed putting them up and seeing the end result.
I am so pleased with the results that I will be going ahead with some wardrobes.

We used DIY Cabinets to make us some alcove cabinets/ bookshelves in our sitting room. From the very beginning we have been so impressed with them, from their website, to discussing ideas with the design team, to delivery, everyone we have spoken to has been helpful, knowledgeable and friendly. We were a little bit nervous at putting them together, not having done any DIY before, but the instructions are extremely clear and if you get stuck at all, there is always someone to help on the phone. If you are looking for beautifully made cabinets or bookshelves but don’t want to pay hefty prices I cannot recommend more.

I highly recommend DIYalcove cabinet's entire team, who have been exceptional. Their product quality is outstanding, and they offer unique features that can't be found elsewhere. Our Small Victorian terrace living room has been completely transformed with their new alcove cabinets and shelves.
I would like to express my gratitude to John and Samantha for their help in decision making, selecting the right options, and supporting us patiently and kindly (despite my being a bit of a pain).
Special thanks to Jay for keeping us informed and responding as quickly as possible when necessary.

I consider DIY Alcove Cabinet’s products to be a step up from an IKEA hack and step down from fully custom since you do the installation yourself. As a relatively newbie DIY-er, I was able to follow the instructions and got some post-sale questions answered and installed these cabinets myself as well as pre-production drawings to check measurements where the gentleman was communicative and helpful. It took a day and a half in total but I am so pleased with the outcome, and for the price tag, they were at least 2/3rds cheaper than going fully custom!

Absolutely delighted with our alcove cabinets. Top class company to deal with from start to finish. John did the initial design and explained how the units were installed, and when informed I planned to keep albums in one of the cabinets he suggested splitting the shelving and adding an extra foot in the middle of the unit to support the additional weight - really appreciated this attention to detail.
When the units arrived I was impressed by the weight and sturdiness of them and the build instructions are comprehensive. When built the cabinets are really strong and quality is great. If you plan to fit them yourself then definitely invest in a good quality scribe tool and appropriate saws so that you can achieve best scribe possible. I took my time and am pleased with the results, but next time I might seek out a skilled joiner who would probably get it done many hours quicker than I did!
I opted to then disassemble the cabinets and take them to a paint shop to be sprayed, I appreciate that this adds to the cost, but it is simply not possible to get a quality smooth finish with a brush or roller so was money well spent and the results are fantastic - as you can hopefully see from the photos.
Would highly recommend these guys and know I will be using them again sometime in the future.

Fantastic service from DIY Alcove Cabinets. Decided to go with them after getting joiners in to quote. They made our cabinets to measure and they look absolutely beautiful! It took a couple of hours to put them together but was easy enough with simple tools (drill, hammer etc.). We paid extra for fluting, extra thick shelves etc. and it was so worth it. Everyone who visits thinks they are original to the house which is exactly the look we were going for. Would definitely purchase from DIY Alcove Cabinets again!
