We asked Alexander Surveying to undertake a comprehensive survey of a property; their report showed damp to not be an issue. The property was surveyed in February 2022, and we moved in in July. We are first time buyers so put a lot of trust in the services of Shaun. When we moved in there was clear evidence of prior attempts to conceal the damp, and when autumn came, there was water leaking through walls in two different rooms. The vendor also said the survey was done in a quick amount of time - and that little attention shown is clear in the fact nothing was picked up. in the report. The surveyors failed to look behind chairs and small ornaments which would have clearly shown evidence of damp back in February. Despite numerous times of calling, and many emails, Alexander Surveying have only responded properly once (to say they resisted any responsibility), and have never returned phone calls despite many messages left. We have been left with thousands of pounds in repairs, some still ongoing over a year later. We are still waiting on a response to our numerous emails and phone calls - last ones being from 18 Aug 2023!
