False chimney breast removed. Very pleased with the work carried out. Unexpected issues resolved quickly and professionally, good standard of work, all rubbish removed and room left extremely clean.
We had been struggling for months with a somewhat ineffectual builder to get a building cert for a loft conversion built in 2000. Things were getting desperate. I have no idea how I found DtB, but I'm so pleased I did, they got it sorted with Sheffield City Council in what my father would say was "two shakes of a lambs tail" without me having to do anything else. The communication was superb (important as I live abroad) and my bp has gone down several points. Couldn't recommend these guys highly enough.

Great team who installed some tricky beams & lintels for me for a new open plan kitchen / diner. Can tell the team really cared about doing a great job.
Will use again in future for bigger projects.

Got in touch with these guys to measure up for a steal beam to replace a load bearing wall in our house, and then come and install it. We had a visit from the structural engineer, then received the drawings and agreed on the work to be done and received the final quote, they managed to fit us last minute on a saturday and had the job done in around 4 hours. Very professional and friendly, plenty of people to get the job done safely and we felt comfortable leaving the safety of our house in their hands. Would recommend them and will be having them back for other future jobs ?

I researched builders thoroughly across Sheffield, and Designed to Build came up top on a number of fronts: speed of replies, professionalism, reliability, reputation, relations with structural engineers, pricing. I was pleased then, having booked them, that they delivered on all accounts. I hope this company continues to thrive as I thought they were great. They reinforced our chimney superbly, ripped out a built-in desk for free, and brought the price of the chimney alteration down when they completed it quicker than they thought they would.

Really professional and friendly, good quality service and finish all round - good value too. Sophian managed the project very well throughout, and Lawrence did most of the building work - both guys were excellent in every way. We've got other projects lined up and will use this company again.

We recently hired Designed to Build to complete our downstairs open plan conversion and removal of chimney breast. From the first day of enquiry they were keen to take on the job, showed up when they said they would, gave solid advice and took proper interest in our vision for the space. The work was carried out quickly and with as little disruption and mess as possible. Every single member of the team was absolutely professional throughout, worked hard, and we felt at ease knowing they would do a great job for us. Company Directors Sophian and Zubair were onsite daily making sure everything was running smoothly which was a great touch and were always keeping us in the loop of any progress or changes needed, and always available for any questions. Top class family run business, great set of guys who clearly care about their customers, very fair cost, and most importantly work carried out to a high standard. Wouldn't hesitate to hire them again.
