This is a store by looks that many people would overlook & the workers gave and sold me the correct part for my Pfister shower. Afterwards, I went home, installed, and not any more water leaks. Hard to find parts, i truly recommed.

I had a bathtub faucet that progressively went from a drip to a pencil stream, over the past year. Replacing the valve is a pretty straightforth job, but I knew the valve stem would be at least 40 years old and nearly impossible to find. I first tried Thompson Supply; they didn't have it, but suggested that I try Capitol. I went to Capitol and the two women working were very helpful and had the valve stem in stock. I was really surprised that Capitol had the valve stem in stock, considering it's age. I would suggest that DIYers like myself patronize the independent plumbing stores. If we have to rely on the big box stores, we will come up short in the long run. Again, thanks to the ladies at Capitol Plumbing Supply. I've attached a photo of the original valve stem. The valve is very short, maybe 3 inches; it has no manufacturer markings. if you have an old home like mine, hopefully this will help you . The replacement valve stem I purchased was manufactured by Crane Repcal.

Very poor customer service. They recommended that my husband buy a specific, expensive part and then would not allow a return when it didn’t work. There are other plumbing stores in the area that offer far better customer service. Take your business elsewhere.

The staff is very friendly and helpful, but in the two times that I've visited they didn't have the parts I needed.

I've used them for years; they have specific or older parts you don't find at the big box home improvement places, or the part you need when the "fits all" repair kit from Walmart still leaks. Don't know what happened with the other reviewers, but service has always been fine to me.
