It’s terrible calling and no one answers the phone. I’ve been on hold for 30mins. It’s been over a month and they still haven’t updated my cdl and they’ve had the information and not yet put it in the system. I’m missing out on opportunities with my job because of this, costing me more money that I should be making waiting on someone who isn’t capable of doing their job in charge of someone else’s lively hood. This is the worst Department of transportation company I’ve ever dealt with. And when they do answer the phone they have an attitude, and slow to get things handled, Why should someone else have to pay because you’re having a bad day or you don’t like your job. It’s unfair to those of us that have opportunities lined up and only waiting to get cleared through a lazy worker.
I worked here for years and it put food on our table and kept a roof over our heads.

Misappropriation of funds. Someone should be sent to prison just like the exGovener.

It was great to visit Alabama for the motorcycle races at Barber (unbelievable place!). Leaving, I thought I would take 25 out of Leeds down to Vincent. Then, head east back to Georgia. The careless Alabama DOT crews didn't bother posted any signs that they had scraped the road, making it exceedingly dangerous for motorcycles. I COULD HAVE DIED!! Bet they'll get right on that, huh?
There's a new motto. "Come to Alabama. Are DOT would like you to stay...in the ground...FOREVER."
DOT Website "Contact Us" broken. No surprise.

We needed a state permit for hauling. Had a few problems so went in to office. They were very accommodating!

Contacted the state via email about a traffic hazard here in small town Alabama. They acted swiftly and fixed the problem. Very impressive.
