Overall

Richard had come out by invitation for an estimate for a crack in my pool on the wall near the stairs. He spent an hour measuring and explaining the process and the steps if the crack was structural or just a shell crack. Talked with Brian Morris the owner who took the time to reiterate what and how things would be happening. I gladly signed a contract. During this process I met ( ALEXIS, DESTINEE, JOEL, LUIS, MINERVA, BIG MIKE). All of these workers are in house employees, no contractors lead the operation to empty my pool, tear out the old pebble tech, repair the crack, reinstall all new pebble tech and refilling of the pool, the clean up, the reset up, replace baskets, overflow flap, check all running parts, reset the chemicals, and the startup.
This company has a greatest program called dispatch, it announces by e-mail and also by text who and when a technician will arrive to do the work. I never had such great communication with any other company as " WE FIX UGLY POOLS " HAD GIVEN ME. I truly Felt like I was being treated as family.

In October 2022, just 2 years after our deck was completely refinished by “We Fix Ugly Pools”, we noticed large pieces of the deck were crumbling and deteriorating.

The work was still under warranty and we scheduled an inspection. Daniel, who did the original work, was dispatched on January 11, 2023 to inspect and said what was happening was not covered and not under warranty. He said that the concrete underneath the resurfaced deck was the problem, which is odd because they had told us how well they seal the concrete before they begin resurfacing.

The whole point of the warranty is to guarantee quality product. We spent $3,000 and the deck now looks worse than it did before they were hired to make it beautiful.

See the photos attached to this review. I would never recommend We Fix Ugly Pools.

JULY 2024 - So after this review in March 2024, Brian Morris contacted me (via text only) several times and agreed to send the sub-contractor who did the work, out to meet with us. By this time, early April, more deterioration had occurred. The contractor, Daniel, came out and we went over the entire deck. He said he'd report back to Brian to see what "We Fix Ugly Pools" would do for us. It is not July 2024, and I never heard back from Brian, who is now running for the State Legislature. Hmmm.

AVOID WARNING WARNING. DO NOT USE this pool contractor to remodel your pool. In my opinion they are incompentent. I gave them a LARGE deposit in MAY 2023 and we are now March 27 and my pool is half demolished, all the plaster removed and down to concrete and still not finished. The owner came out and did homework, but there have been 4 seperate crews come to "remove debris" and clean the pool because it has been so long, but then no work commences. I even have holes in my deck where they tore it up to repair a leak. See the photos for how they have left it unfinished.
We have called six times in the last month and no return phone calls or no input to put us on "their schedule"

I was told by a confident source (the owner) that they had "signed up" over 1000 pools to refurbish last year. I wonder how many were finished. Maybe they were all abandoned like mine.
My opinion would be to NOT sign any paperwork with this company.
NOTE: THERE HAS BEEN NO Approvals presented, discussed or mentioned by your company for work to the outer shell. What are you talking about? Is your word good to complete the job?
I read your response and it’s a snow job. You were not paid $20,000.00 to demolish! It was to complete the work. I physically visited you at your house and you told me you would complete the work in 2 weeks. It’s now been six more weeks since then and you have not returned phone calls nor called to schedule or discuss any approvals. Nor to discuss any completion. You don’t return calls and are incompetent to finish! All you do is make ugly pools!!
You have abandoned the job and left it incomplete.
Your performance is weak and incomplete.

Last summer one of the lightning storms took out the electrical line to our pool pumps. At first response was great, they came same day practically and gave me a quote to run a new line to the garage and then the pool. However after signing the contract late August I can say the work was finally done late January. Weeks and weeks would go by with no call no project plan and then they would randomly just show up and do work on a Sunday when we weren’t home. At one point we went two months without hearing the word and no calls returned. I must’ve called five or six times leaving messages and never once did I receive a call back their scheduling and administration communication for the projects is horrible and they would will blame it on supply delays but the communication has nothing to do with the supplies if they would’ve called me and said hey, it’s gonna be a couple months. I need this other part I would’ve understood but zero communication is unacceptable. I wouldn’t bother with them as they are a very amateur organization that knows zero about customer service to build future business. That said their techs who actually do the work were friendly and great. But luckily I was home to accommodate all the times they would just randomly show up . No prescheduling with me. . The final straw that really irritated me is they said they would not replace the pavers (.told me at the very end) but they had to take up in order to install the electrical line so my backyard was left like this for five months, major trip hazards. . Why would this not be in scope of the project when it had to be dug up to put the line in makes no sense and their customer service- ha! the customer is not first at all it’s about just getting their money and not communicating along the way. Avoid. I was hoping to use them for a remodeling but no way in hell will I give them another dime.

And while the company time and again will say it wasn’t in the contract it wasn’t in the contract. Why would this type of work not be put into a contract ? it was literally ripped up because the line needed to be put in. My bigger, complaint was the lack of communication and inability to share a timeline with me. A better way to handle it is to call me back after tearing tjrnground up and work on what it would cost to put it back. Revise the contract with me. Not just hide behind the contract. Instead I was ignored.

A HUGE THANK YOU TO WFUP!!!! Brian Morris and his team delivered on our pool that was 36 years old. In as little as 3 months with labor and material shortages, start to finish, I cannot thank Brian and his team enough for the spectacular work that was done. We have a 50K gallon pool and a 2K gallon spa. This was no easy task. Highly recommend!

Hired to replace the waterline tile on my large pool. They came right out and gave a reasonable estimate. I picked the tile and it was installed beautifully. Also did a light acid wash that really brightened up my blue quartz plaster. Workers were all very professional. The only issue I had was a lack of communication about when my project would start. They were a bit hard to contact at times but I understood that they were short staffed due to the pandemic. All in all I am very pleased and would recommend them.
