D2 Surveying

When getting an estimate to fence my property, we were having a problem finding one of the markers for the property corner. I was advised to get a boundary survey to be safe. I contacted D2 and they responded quickly, and sent out a team to mark my boundaries. I am so glad I did, I was off about 5 feet the wrong direction! It could have caused a major problem down the line. Drew was able to find the missing property corner, and was so great at explaining the property line, easements, and placing flags along the property lines between the corners. They were very knowledgeable and professional. Will be recommending them to anyone that needs a survey.

Most residential property owners have no need of a land survey, or if they do, it's a request from a third party vendor or a neighbor dispute. Well, no dispute in this case and so I witnessed a boundary survey of my property for the first time. The D2 survey team showed up early in the form of Mitch and Chris. They had actually started earlier at some distance from the property and worked their way towards it. My layman understanding was that it had something to do with the original developers (approx 1989) excluding some conventional land markings (the house is in a rural area by the Tonto National Forest.) I was very impressed with their preciseness and attention to accuracy. They were hard at it well into the hot afternoon. I brought some cold waters out to them, and after a brief conversation, went back sweating into my a/c conditioned house. I requested the survey as a prelude to doing some extensive landscaping. Mitch and Chris did a thorough job of staking out the boundaries for the landscapers. After they left along comes the icing on the cake as another team member shows up to fly a drone above the property for a final assessment. This may be standard methodology for surveys but this retired property owner was very impressed with their work ethic, their experience, and their use of technology. They covered all the bases. It's a family owned business so prior to their presence on the property, I had to go through 'the process' of submitting a boundary survey request online. They have many different types of surveys on the request form so I called into their office (one of several calls:) for advice on what type would meet my needs. That's when I became acquainted with the administrative side of the business. MacKenzie, Victoria , and Mindy in the office were more than accommodating in clearly explaining next steps. I could not be more satisfied with the outcome. So now trespassers , i. e. , coyotes, javelinas, and mountain lions, beware!

Worked with these guys a few years back on Pinal Peak to ensure the transmit antenna for KIKO-FM was properly aligned and mounted at the correct height per the federal license. He was very patient and took care of the station owner’s meticulous requirements. Univision, who owns the facility, was also very pleased with his work. We don’t need surveying much in the radio business, but if the occasion comes up again these will be the guys I call. Thanks again!

All I can say is WOW! What a great group of gentlemen to work with. It all started with them actually returning a phone call. That seems to be a novel concept here. We were given an abundance of information in the initial call. We agreed on a date and time for the survey. The day before the appointment they called to confirm and shortly before the time of the appointment, they called and said they would be 10 minutes late. They showed up in less than that. The last time our property had been surveyed was in 1956 so it took a while to find any markers. They were there for just under 8 hours. They recorded the survey with the county, sent a copy to our architect and emailed us a copy as well as mailing a copy. Very prompt, efficient and understand that communication is critical to running a business. I highly recommend them.
