I want tell you about Duthie Power Services. I remember seeing DPS on South St. Between Paramount & Cherry in Long Beach. If that is correct it's a miracle. Truthfully DPS! Brb... The first business on the list to post about. My name is Nate, and I work for the CIA. You may see us all outside in increasing numbers recently. There is that much activity, CIA related. So if you need someone, you can count on Duthie Power Services, DPS! Brb... Gotta find out more.
Be aware of this company! I, as a business owner would never want to write a bad review about another business or another person. But I think people should know what's out there.
So, here is my story: I called this company to check my power generator. They send their sales person to check the unit. He comes in, nicely asked where the generator is located. We show him the location. He goes up on the roof to look at the generator, he returns and tells us he will send someone to service the unit. We thought, great! So he disappeared and I had to call several times. They finally send a technician over. He goes up on the roof for less than 5 minutes. I timed him. He returns and says, "the company will send us a quote for what needs to be done and all the repairs". I asked, I thought you are here to repair? He said; "No, I only looked at the unit". Then after a couple of weeks they send me a bill for services provided. After I told them the guy was here for less than 5 minutes, they generate a mediocre statement with all the things that was done to the power generator including an oil change. Nothing was done to the generator. The guy just looked at it without doin any repairs. They are very dishonest. I never though it would be so difficult to find an honest company to come out for a simple annual check of the generator.

I was quoted $1,900 they are in Long Beach the generator is in the high desert ?️ so Ryan said it would be a complete day of work so 8 hours plus overtime depending on traffic ? ooh plus gas fuel surcharge which will be added on top of the $1,900 and this is only to drive out and look at it ? more money will be required to work on the unit and find out what’s wrong with it !!! Ooh and we need an authorization form giving us permission to charge you as needed ?
This is a set up to take your money ? without having to do anything but drive to you wasting time along the way to charge you more money ? and there is nothing you will be able to do because you gave them authorization to freely bill you ???? run one last thing they never asked what was happening with my generator ?

Don’t rely on them if you’re in a pinch and need a generator. Also don’t expect them to do the work a monkey could do blindfolded. They like to milk the customer saying that they’re gonna fix a part but they just send out people who sit in their truck and don’t do the work.
