Sam is so generous with his time! He walked us thru what to expect with renovations, foundational/ structural permits etc for our first home purchase and just helped open our eyes to the whole process. Extremely extremely helpful! Thank you Sam and hope to work with you in the future (:
I had the pleasure of talking to Sam last night. He was extremely helpful in giving me advice on how to proceed properly with an attic project. It's so refreshing to talk to a professional that is willing to give you an honest answer even if it is not the answer you want to hear. Even more refreshing in that he proceeded to share city bulletins on structural codes that I would have found hard to find on my own. Being talked through the drawings and tables and given an outline of how I should proceed was extremely helpful. If not on this project I really hope I get to work with him down the road. He will be the first person I call.

I had the pleasure of working with Sam on my college project and found him to be a fantastic collaborator. As a structural engineer, Sam's expertise was invaluable in providing guidance and support for my college project. What stood out to me the most was his willingness to adapt his knowledge and work with me in a field outside his normal scope.
Sam was incredibly accommodating, open-minded, and flexible throughout our collaboration. His kind and patient demeanor made it easy to communicate and work together effectively. Despite the unconventional nature of the project, Sam approached it with professionalism and a positive attitude.
I truly appreciate Sam's friendly and approachable nature, which made the whole experience enjoyable and productive. His willingness to step into unfamiliar territory and support me in my endeavors speaks volumes about his character and dedication to the task at hand.
I would highly recommend Sam for his excellent work ethic, professionalism, and adaptability.

We found Sam to be incredibly helpful and informative. We hired SEC to assess our garage, which we wanted to turn into an ADU. Sam was friendly and approachable and took the time to answer questions about our home - even after our consultation had finished. I would definitely recommend him for anyone thinking about home improvement projects.

Sam was great! Very enthusiastic and helpful. I hired him to inspect a house I was considering purchasing that had fire and foundation issues. He came and efficiently examined everything. And gave very straight forward and in depth explanations of what we were looking at. Several times he asked to assure all our questions and concerns were addressed before leaving. Definitely will hire again.
