CBKR was a pleasure to work with and I recommend them highly. I had never done a remodel before and heard horror stories - working with CBKR was anything but. Allyn and his excellent team, Moises and Miguel, are professional, reliable, attentive to detail, kind, and their work is high quality. They communicate clearly about scheduling and pricing - there are no surprises, and they are responsive to all questions. They kept everything clean and were respectful of our Covid-19 concerns. We are very happy with our bathroom - looks great and I know it was well and carefully built. Could not have asked for more.
Allyn and team did a great job with doing a half bathroom remodel of our upstairs bathroom.

We had a great experience working with CBKR. The owner was friendly and accomodating, as were the workers who completed the job. We are very happy with our new bathroom and the workmanship is top-notch. The price was very reasonable, too. We highly recommend using CBKR for remodeling.

If you have a need for a kitchen or bath remodel, look no further. California Bathroom & Kitchen Remodelers is the company I recommend. Over the years, California Bathroom has remodeled our kitchen and two bathrooms, with one to go. They are professional and responsive, and the work is done with great quality and communication. They are always on time and our projects have been completed on time, with beautiful results.
We are so happy with Allyn Jonson and his professional and capable crew. Did I mention how respectful, and nice they are? It is a joy to see them everyday. They are such kind and considerate people. We are happy to call them friends!

California Bathroom and Kitchen remodeling did a fantastic job remodeling our 2 bathrooms. The owner Allyn walked us through every step of the process so we knew exactly what we’d be looking at as far as both work done and cost. We got estimates from multiple companies and really felt like CBKR provided us the best price as well as a clear breakdown of cost so we weren’t surprised by hidden expenses during the project. Moises and Miguel worked on our 2 bathrooms and did excellent work. Both were very friendly and easy to work with. They made sure every week to provide us with a schedule of what work would be done and when they would be at the house to start each day. We were also very happy with how quickly the project moved along and was completed. They also made sure to check in with us to see how we were liking our bathrooms and to see if anything needed touch ups. I highly recommend working with CBKR. You won’t be disappointed.

Overall, the experience we had with California B&K Remodelers was fantastic! The installation was well-done and the attention to every detail was not over-looked. All work that was discussed was done properly and the amount of professionalism that Allyn and his team showed towards us was far beyond expected. The amount of expertise that they demonstrated throughout our remodel showed that no problem was too big and they were able to overcome any unexpected issues quickly.
This was our first remodel, so I was unsure how the process was supposed to take place -- especially that I needed to purchase my own vanity, sink, tub, faucets, etc. I was completely unsure as to which sizes or dimensions each of these items needed to be for them to be installed correctly. When I had questions about such items, Allyn was never to busy to answer my questions and always returned missed phone calls very promptly. Definitely will recommend them to any one looking for this similar work done to their home. We will be planning for a 2nd bathroom remodel very soon!

California Bathroom and Kitchen Remodelers (CBKR) updated two of our bathrooms. The project entailed complete removal of old items down to the sheetrock and subfloor, and then a rebuild in the original footprint that included electrical, rough and finish plumbing with all new fixtures, new tub and shower, all new cabinets, tile floor, tile shower and bath stalls, quartz countertops, and new paint. This company was outstanding to work with as exemplified by the following areas that were important to us:
1) Design help. The owner, Allyn, gave us an idea of what caliber of fixtures, cabinets, countertops, and tile were typical and available, and recommended stores we could go to. We took a couple of weeks to shop around to decide on our preferences.
2) Project cost. After getting a sense of what we wanted for our remodel, Allyn laid out a contract that was very detailed in terms of what was included, with reasonable allowances for items we needed to shop for. We made minor changes during the project that ultimately increased cost less than 5% from the original contract.
3) Quality of Work. This was an investment in our home. We wanted the job done right. The site leads, Moises and Miguel, performed much of the work themselves, needing subcontractors for only the electrical, cabinets, and glass. They took pride in their work, and were committed to ensuring we were pleased with what they’d done. Their attention to detail, especially with the tile work, was impressive.
4) Schedule. We lived in the home during the construction, and it was important to get the bathrooms back and usable as quickly as possible. Allyn laid out an 8 week schedule that CBKR was ahead of, right up until the COVID-19 shelter in place orders complicated things. Fortunately, they had worked fast enough to leave us with functioning bathrooms until they could return to perform finishing work.
5) Communication. Moises or Miguel updated us every day on who would be at our house, what work they would be performing, and where we were in the schedule. If there was an option about how something could be installed (think tile installation layout), they always gave us options and asked our preference. Our questions or concerns were always dealt with promptly.
Beyond the usual standards you measure a contractor by, CBKR was interested in ensuring we had a positive experience. Everyone involved was easy to work with, and we always knew our project was important to them. They checked with us every step of the way to make sure we were happy as the project progressed. We highly recommend CBKR, and would use them again.

Allyn came highly recommended to us by our ADU contractor in 2019. We needed to get started on the bathroom renovation in the main house, while in the plumbing process of building the ADU. Allyn and his crew did a great job on the master bathroom, so we asked if they would remodel our other bathroom and kitchen. Allyn understood our vision and made it happen. This project turned into a total new home remodel as we continued to work separately with Allyn's referrals and other great contractors. Allyn and his crew, Moises and Miguel are not only very knowledgeable and experienced in remodeling, but were incredibly respectful to us and our dogs. Always polite, on-time, cleaned up everyday and very professional. They always communicated well and advised us on next steps, issues and recommendations. All of CKBR sub-contractors, e.g. electricians, painters were excellent as well. We are so pleased and thankful with the end result and are enjoying are new home. We would not hesitate to contact them again and/or refer them to others.
