From start to finish, Augustine Fence is a win! I initially emailed the company with my request for a new gate and side fence. JoAnn was very courteous, professional, and knowledgeable. If she didn't have an answer, she would get back to me, after talking to Jim, the owner. A date and time frame (9am - 11am) was given for an estimator to come out and see the site. Leo arrived at 9:02am and I showed him the area. He took notes and pictures and a day later I had a written estimate for the project. The estimate was very reasonable and my requests for written amendments were done within a day. A date was schedule for the demo and install. Patrick and Gabriel came by and performed the work. They were scheduled at 9am and parked at 9:04am. They were very communicative with me, asked me particular questions on lock placement and improving the old style I had. Jim himself came onsite by 10am and was seeing the project through, and offering his 40 year expertise while getting his hands dirty with his crew. The job was completed in 1 day. Patrick and Gabriel cleaned up the area, and my fence/gate look stellar. From start to finish, this project took 3 weeks, as they worked me in between jobs. (They are booked 2 months out). The cost of the job was exactly the cost of the estimate. FYI, when dealing with small business', be sure and ask on payment methods before hand. I paid by personal check to avoid the credit card processing fee of 2%-3%. The only part of the business that needs improvement are the field workers wearing Augustine Fencing clothing or hats, so they are easy to identify to existing and prospective clients. The gate never worked well because they made it too big. Now the latch fell off and they will not answer any of our phone calls. We called and left messages five times so far. These can not be all of the reviews. He does not even care about his past customers.

In June, Augustine Fence demo'd and installed a long, retaining wall with French drains, wood property fences on two sides, and tall deer fencing along my back property line. A five-day job, the crew of 4 worked efficiently on the teardown, setting posts in cement, and ultimately rebuilding the fences with redwood and deer fencing. A double-wide side gate and standard back gate were expertly crafted and hung and the crew reset my mailbox on its post. As part of my own planning, my neighbors on both sides hired Augustine to complete fencing for their property at the same time, too. I am very pleased with the excellent communication with JoAnn in the business office, the work crew, and with Jim when he visited the work site. His advice on how to take care of my investment was most appreciated too. I recommend this longtime local company for fencing projects.
