Overall

This review is WAY overdue. My husband and I had a wonderful experience working with Michael and Lisa at DreamMaker Bath & Kitchen. We have been nothing but pleased with the results of our kitchen makeover. When we started, the kitchen was light oak and dark counters with outdated flooring and fixtures. Now, it‘s bright and inviting with grey bottom cabinets and white upper cabinets, a new island and white marble countertops. Lisa was awesome with paint choices for the space!
Would work with them over and over again and would recommend to anyone looking for a quality remodel.

We just completed a massive remodel of our kitchen and Master Bath. Michael, Lisa & Patty are fantastic! From day one they listened to what we wanted, gave us suggestions and then made it happen. They exceeded our expectations and we are so grateful. We’re glad to have the project completed, but we are going to miss working with these great people.

We are very pleased with the results of our kitchen and dining room remodel. Lisa did an excellent and creative design with her CAD software, which gave us a very realistic view of how things were going to look. The "before" printouts and the "after" reality were perfectly matched! She also saved us a ton of time by having all of the selectable items (that we liked) in their store, like cabinets, tile, etc. As a result, we couldn't believe how quickly the design phase was completed.

Once all the materials were in hand, DreamMaker's Mike was the main contractor to do the hands-on work (plus his subcontractors). He was extremely fast, personable and talented. And a nice guy to have in your home for the duration.

One thing about DreamMaker - you get the impression of not just great talent, but especially integrity - you just know they won't leave you in the lurch if something crops up down the road.

Judy and I are planning to have them remodel our master bath soon. Who else but the best?

DreamMaker turned a 2nd bedroom in my basement into a kitchen to make our in-law apartment complete. When Lisa did her initial imaging it was like she was reading my mind. Mike did an absolutely amazing job. I'm in love with my new kitchen! It's perfect!!!

After meeting with the owner and designer a few times, I felt like this company could do a good job for me. Most of the reviews were positive and nothing they said or did at this point set off flags. So, I signed a contract and paid over 15k upfront. At that time, they claimed covid, supply chain issues, and work load would push the start date out 6-8 months from this point. I called after 7 months and the owner said the job might start in a week. A month after that, I still received no materials, no scheduling, and no start date. When I asked for proof of purchase (wondering where all my money has gone for the time passed), I was refused. I asked for my money back. I was refused.

What they did do is call the police to threaten trespassing charges and played the victim claiming breach of contract because I no longer want to work with them. All this was done with such speed and efficiency, I wonder if this is the actual business model.

Negotiations brought to light that they had bought and received all materials to do construction within 2 months of the signed contract and they padded costs claiming over 80 hours of design work. The owner still asserted he did nothing wrong and had retained a good enough lawyer to back him on this. Again, making me question the actual business model of this construction company.

The owner tried to add removal of reviews as part of his settlement with me. A reputable company doesn’t have to do this. Reputable companies are too busy conducting the work they contracted to do.

If you choose to conduct business with this company, edit the contract for a hard start date no more than 3 months after the sign date. Edit the arbitration clause too. If he won’t agree to your terms as well, walk on.

And for Gold Star and Silver Star families, this business will divest you of the legacy your loved one gave you with a smile and kind words, if you let them. I strongly advise you go elsewhere.

This retired senior has been pondering whether to down-size from my current 1970's era home, or do some major $$$ upgrades. I'm glad I had the chance to discuss my options with DreamMaker.
Lisa is obviously competent, experienced, and CREATIVE. She was beyond patient explaining an abundance of things to consider to get the best "bang for my buck".
Clearly, the high quality of work that DreamMaker puts into projects wouldn't be appropriate if I wanted to do just enough for a quick sale in today's market. However, if I decide to invest what it takes to end up with a forever home I can enjoy and take pride in for decades to come, I'll definitely get a bid from DreamMaker.

Michael and Lisa worked with me to re-imagine my kitchen. It was a brown, basement man-cave and now it's a beautiful blue/white functioning kitchen. Michael did most of the work himself.

DreamMaker seems to be sending mixed messages. I've been rifling through kitchen renovation reviews for a couple weeks now and saw one on here (picture attached) that said they came to DreamMaker after a home show where a bunch of contractors said their job was too small and DreamMaker took great care of them.

Then another (picture also attached) that warned others that DreamMaker caters to a higher-spending clientele to which DreamMaker replied and said there was a miscommunication and they do jobs $5000 and up.

Finally, one of the pictures I attached is a screenshot of their own website laying out the range of costs a homeowner can entertain when planning their kitchen budget. This seems welcoming to a budget like ours.

I put in a request on their website yesterday and received a call today. Lisa was very kind and really great with me on the phone. When she asked about our budget and I told her (it's quite a but higher than $5000), she said the average kitchen they do is $40,000-$60,000. She apologized a lot (maybe too much) and I really wasn't upset. I think it's great for professionals to know their target market and I may not be in it. That's okay with me. I also get to choose who I work with, you know? No problem.

But I do think being clear about your ideal client will help a lot. It helps consumers know who to call and who not to and it would alleviate a couple of these low reviews on google. There's no shame in providing services at a higher price point, but the confusion here is what leads me to post a review for a company I didn't even work with. I have strong reservations about the management of an important kitchen or bath project when there are management and communication problems in introductory telephone conversations.

I hope a decision maker with the company finds this review and it can help initiate some discussions about internal processes and strategic planning for the trajectory of the business.

My wife and I had begun looking for a company to redo our kitchen counter tops and back splash. To us this was a big project and we were excited to begin. However, after attending a local home show we found that our big project was not big enough for several companies who didn't even bother to call us back. Thank goodness we found Dream Maker! They treated our project like it was just as important to them as it was to us. When we met at the design center they were very thorough and went over all of the options to get us what we wanted. We had one little speed bump along the way but Dream Maker work with us and they provided an acceptable alternative that kept us on track and on budget. All of the work was done in a timely manner and with attention to detail. We are so happy with the new counter tops and back splash and would definitely recommend Dream Maker! No matter how large or small your project, the folks at Dream Maker will get the job done right!

The work that DreamMaker Bath & Kitchen did for us is excellent. The service was well coordinated. The quality of service exceeded our expectations. We also knew that if we had any issues down the line they would be right there for us. That is why we called them back for more remodeling. They are fantastic people to work with all around.

Our experience with Mark, Deb, and the entire DreamMaker staff was exceptional. We had our master bath entirely renovated and the results were just as we had planned. The planning process was very easy with Mark and Deb and we knew exactly what our schedule was going to be from start to completion. They went out of their way not to disrupt activity in the rest of the house. Overall, the project came in within our budget plan and met our specifications exactly. We would highly recommend DreamMaker for your remodel project.

I have known the Witte's for many years now and my wife and I keep returning to have DreamMaker remodel our home. It doesn't get any better than this, and we have tried many places. They are into detail, and what is really exciting is that they set a timeline, and they stick to it. And the prices are reasonable. They also stand behind their warranty. We had some wood warping in two custom built pantries,....they fixed it immediately. The wood warping wasn't their fault, but they stood behind their work and now we have straight pantry doors. I hate warped wood!

They are great to work with, we laugh and joke with them during the whole process, and their employees who come to your house are also great people that you can trust in your home. I guarantee you, you will not be sorry once you have hired DreamMaker. We had a complete bathroom done with new counter top, we had a custom built kitchen island really cool with built in roll out trash cans and more expandable storage space, all roll out behind doors, and two electric outlets on the sides, several new pantries, and many other smaller jobs. Trust them!!

We wanted to remodel our master bedroom/bathroom to do away with as many doors as possible. We also wanted a washer and dryer somewhere in the closet area. Mark and Deb Witte listened to our vision and led us through the design process to come up with something even better than what we had envisioned. We got a beautiful walk in--no door, no threshold, shower, along with a spacious closet-laundry area and an elegant hidden pocket door for the water closet. We appreciated the help picking out fixtures and colors to compliment the design. All the construction team members were courteous and thorough. I would recommend DreamMaker to anyone looking to remodel with minimum stress.
