Overall

From the outset, our interaction with Pella was marked by professionalism and attentiveness to our needs. Despite an unexpected issue that arose post-installation, Dave's (General Manager of Trade Sales) dedication to customer satisfaction truly shone through. He went above and beyond to address the problem and ensured that we were completely satisfied with the resolution. I would highly recommend Pella Windows & Doors of Colorado Springs, we are very satisfied with their top-notch products. Thanks to Dave's exemplary customer service, any initial hiccup was swiftly resolved, leaving us thoroughly happy with the outcome.

Had a 20 year old sliding door that tore your arm off whenever you opened or closed it. We’ve had Pella replacement windows and doors in other homes so they were our only choice. The measurements were accurate and door came in as scheduled. The installers were friendly and professional and door was installed perfectly. The door slides like butter and looks like it was always there. If needed, we’ll use Pella again.

We had 6 windows and 2 custom sliders installed over a year ago. From Day 1 we had problems due to shoddy installation work on main slider. Damage was done to our house and this door has NEVER been right, despite replacing the glass twice and a new frame installed. Now the door has started rubbing against the stationary panel causing damage to it and making it very hard to open. The screen is so wonky we can't even use it and the screen in the other slider is now unusable as well. We don't know if these openings were measured wrong or if the product is just inferior. We would advise anyone NOT to use them.

I agreed to pay $52K for 20 windows because I was led to believe Pella was top quality, so along with the high price tag my expectations were also high. The install was scheduled for 4 days and they were one day late getting started, which I was notified about the morning of by the installer, even though I got a call from a local Pella manager the night before stating the crew would be here.

From there, what I witnessed was virtually non-existent quality control going from the Pella factory itself, down through their entire local management chain, through to the final installed product in my home. The attached pictures tell much of that story, and to add to that:

Factory Pella Issues:
1) Most windows had visibly raised and roughly shaved corner welds (interior and exterior - see photos) - at this price point, I believe most people have an expectation of receiving a finished product, not this
2) Some were scratched and damaged in shipping
3) Most of the "auto window locks" don't work as designed

Local Pella Issues:
1) Windows were measured incorrectly (the original person doing the measurement came up with one size, while the installer came up with another, which led to several other issues, including the re-ordering of one window, and that was agreed to by Pella only after much debate);
2) There are excessively large gaps between the window seams and the stucco (see pictures, this should not happen... while some minor stucco repair is to be expected, this is not "minor").
3) Replacement window locks not locally available and apparently takes several layers of management approvals and several weeks/months before a replacement order can be fulfilled by the factory

All this happened in mid-May 2024 and there has been no resolution on anything to date except some caulk repairs (which I had to identify and ask them to fix... all of what you see in the pictures was acceptable by their quality control standards) and smoothing of the interior welds, which I would offer (along with smoothing of the exterior welds) should be done at the factory but if not, then it should be done by the local Pella team prior to windows going in, not after. Also, when I asked about getting the window locks replaced sooner rather than later, I was told there was special paperwork that had to be done and it could only be done by my salesperson, so I would have to wait until he go back from vacation in one month (nobody else in the entire Pella organization could make this happen, only him). Window locks are very basic hardware readily available in large quantities at the Pella factory and after 2 months and multiple requests, I still do not have those either.

Our experience with Pella has had several ups and downs, but we are ultimately happy with our purchase. The install took much longer than expected due to both weather and mismeasurements, but has finally been completed. Pella has worked with us along the way and ultimately made things right. We love the windows and doors as well, a huge upgrade from the 40 year old crumbling wood pieces they replaced.

Hello, I am having a lot of trouble with my install with Pella Colorado Springs (formerly Mountain View). I bought 15 windows and 2 sliding doors in late September and the project is still not complete 5 months later. The subcontractor installers damaged my home, two windows still aren’t installed and I’m missing screens for the sliding doors. I’ve asked to speak with the manager if the branch and they won’t put me in contact with them. I have dozens of emails and photos to share if wanted. I email contacts I have and get no response. The actual windows are fine but working with this branch of Pella hasn’t been good since purchase date. EDIT I already emailed the email address below (the same day I wrote the review) that they just replied with because I saw it on other bad reviews and they clearly didn’t get it. They just send this as a stock response.

Dave and the folks at Pella C. Springs were great to work with from start to finish. They worked with me to get a quality product at a good value. They stayed with me through the process and delivery. Much appreciated.

Excellent communication (quote to final walk through), professional installation of quality products, no use of pressure tactics (solid business with good ethics). Quality control inspections during and after. Don't forget the warranty! Coworker recommended and did not disappoint!

Pella windows of Colorado Springs replaced all 20 of our windows in our Colorado Springs dream home in the Broadmoor. Dave Fleming and his team went above and beyond throughout the entire process. The quality of the product is unmatched in the industry. All of our windows perform perfectly, especially our easy slide open casement windows. I would definitely Dave Fleming and his team for windows in my other houses. First class all the way.
