I mentioned God and I was told by my foreman that I couldn't talk about God at work, shortly was fired and they said it was because of insubordination, lol. I was only there for two weeks. They're Godless and they discriminate and use fear as intimidation! Not a good company to work for if you know the laws about discrimination, they just hide it to make them look like they are correct ?

While the overall work performed was just OK, the real issue I had with this company was the terrible mess left by each and every crew that came to my home. Mario, the taper and mudder, did a decent job, although some corners were sloppy. But what he left behind after each of his visits boggles the mind. This is not new construction. This is a remodel. This is my home. Kids and dogs running around. Yet, each time he left, there was no attempt at any clean up in the areas between the ones that were being worked on. The areas that were being worked on were not adequately taped off, so drywall mud was flung everywhere. Then the texture crew came out. WOW! They were here for less than one hour and it looked like a tornado had just come through. Again, they paid very little attention to protecting my belongings and floors before they dragged their hoses all through the house. They left with no effort to clean up. I didn't expect them to completely clean up, as the contract stated that someone would be out to "clean up" the next day. OK for new construction. But why for a remodel where people live? The pictures speak for themselves. As I said, the work was just Ok. I've been doing drywall for a long time and I've certainly seen better. It all stems from everyone being in such a RUSH!!! Rush to get the job done and to the next house. And this behavior is embedded in them by the companies that hire them - whether they are employees or contracted. If South Valley Drywall would tell their employees and also their contacted workers that cleanliness is important and that they should take a bit more time to ensure proper protection, then I would not be writing this review. Nor would I have spend my time taking with Garrett about these issues. I do understand the current labor market and that good work is hard to find. Garrett mentioned this when we spoke. But this does not absolve South Valley Drywall from their responsibilities to their customers. There were other issues I had, such as scheduling. I received an email from their residential coordinator that the job would begin on the 26th. I emailed him back stating that everything would be ready. Keep in mind, I was not having any drywall installed. This was simply a tape, mud, and texture job. Not more than 5 minutes after my reply, I get a call from Mike, the project coordinator who said he would NOT be out on the 26th and could not start until the next week. I asked why I just received an email stating the job would start on the 26th. He replied something to the extent of "We don't talk with each other." So the residential coordinator and the project manager don't talk before a schedule is finalized? When I called to ask about this, I was given the excuse that the 26th start date was for "Staging". OK, but what's there to stage? Again, there is no drywall to be hung. Staging typically refers to, in part, getting the drywall to the house prior to the hanging crew coming out. If you're working on new construction, then these guys may be for you. I will say that they were quick to reply to my initial outreach and have been receptive in my complaints, although no effort was made to compensate me for the nearly 4 hours it took to clean the mess that was left behind. Certainly no South Valley Drywall crew would have adequately cleaned the mess. They were not the cheapest nor the most expensive (closer to top). I chose them because of their google rating. I hope I am not the normal for these guys. But use caution and make sure they don't leave a mess in your house! Good luck on that!

I'm currently employed here as a temp and I have to say for a small business they sure do know how to treat their employees. I always feel welcomed. Everyone cares about one another and their clients are always top priority. This truly has been a great place to work.

I did a Google search looking for someone to remove the popcorn from my home's ceilings. Garrett came out and gave me a bid. It was very reasonable. He suggested that since we were already taking all of the furniture out of the house we could also have his team retexture the walls giving it a more updated look. He added that option to our quote, and again, it was very reasonable. I was able to pick the date I wanted the project to start. From day one, the owner, project manager-Bill and laborers were nothing but professional, friendly and willing to go the extra mile to ensure the project was completed to my satisfaction. They communicated effectively. They answered their phones or in the rare case they could not, they returned my call almost immediately! I have NEVER worked with a more responsive group in all my years! Not only did they do a fantastic job with my ceilings and walls, they even patched a hole in the basement wall for me! Projects like this can be so messy but I found their team to be extraordinarily neat and clean! So I highly recommend South Valley Drywall Inc! Thank you for your outstanding customer service & suggesting to have the walls done as we had not even considered that and it's made a huge difference. Our home is so nice now!
