We had a 25 year old wrought iron patio table with 6 chairs and a glider swing that Colorado Powder Coater refurbished. From the initial estimate to the final product everything was easy and perfect. The set looks like brand new! They even fixed a weld that had broken over the years. The color Greg recommended (oiled bronze) was perfect and we plan on enjoying our "new" set for many more years. Greg's employee Tim was so helpful! He showed us around, explained the process, and was just so knowledgeable, friendly, and nice. I highly recommend them.

UPDATE As Greg claims this matter was resolved, only after the claims adjuster showed up at his door to investigate the claim. The owner (Greg) would not let him in, show him the process inspect the work and how it was handled. Claims adjuster was interested in the type of wire they use to hang the work and how often it is replaced ( not often enough ). I have been bringing my work here for over 15 years without a problem. My work was not to blame but his careless reusing of old wires to hang the work on its track. It fell from the rack as they were moving it out of the oven. Mark the previous owner used metal hooks or wire depending on the weight and size, and never damaged a piece. As to his claim of desperation this was a commission and I am under contract to deliver the work by a certain date, this date was not met and the client was loosing patients. This is no different than a fabricator being under contract and an inspection being on the line. He is right he had 4 weeks to deal with it and he did not, on the 5th week the adjuster showed up. Greg has only been in this business for a few years i have been in construction and fabrication for 30+ years and was a trouble shooter in high-end construction, before moving to custom fabrication. The reputation he stands on is not his but the previous owners. Bottom line is Greg did not do the right thing and continues to try and pass blame. He was given a month to make restitution and refused so the claim was processed. I had to sign a release form dropping the claim before Greg issued the check. MY WARNINGS STANDS Make sure to take a copy of his insurance if you are dropping work off. IT IS THE FIRST THING MY AGENT ASKED. He may eventually take responsibility but only if you file a claim, this could have an effect on your policy. Make sure your clients know the risk, you don't want to be sued for his neglect. FINALLY Go to yelp and other reviews you will find that Greg always places blame elsewhere and can't take responsibility. Do not fall for the deflection tactics he is using. Notice how he places blame and ask yourself "is it worth the risk". ORIGINAL POST This business was purchased a few years ago and is run by a new individual. Make sure to ask for proof of insurance before you leave anything. This was probably one of the best powder coaters before new ownership. Quality has gone down hill as has the care they take with your work. Recently the owner dropped a large commission and is now refusing to take responsibility. It has been 3 weeks and he keeps hanging up on me. I have had to file a claim through my own insurance to resolve the issue. Will attach photos if able. For any artists out there be warned he does not value your work or time. Told me to call an attorney today, think the ins adjuster will handle that. This is leaving the client without work they have paid for. Imagine if it was needed to get a certificate of occupancy or to have your rails signed off by the inspector. USE AT YOUR OWN RISK

I was in search of a local powder coating company to powder coat some bumpers and one that was willing to work with us and after some searching I stumbled upon Colorado Powder Coating and upon reading the reviews, I figured I'd give them a try. So I reached out to Greg who is the owner of the company and discussed the details with him and after 10 minutes of talking, I knew he knew what he was doing and that I would be in good hands. Fast forward, I am still waiting on my bumper to get here but I did drop off a roof rack to Greg that needed sandblasting and powder coating. Upon arriving to pick up the rack, I saw it sitting there and knew that I made the right choice by going through Greg. The quality of work far exceeds that of any that I have seen. I have a few other things that I will be bringing in to Greg to sandblast and re-powder coat because of the quality of work he and his team does. With that said, without hesitation I would refer Greg to anyone who is looking for a good powder coating company whether your job is big or small.
