Great experience from start to finish. We had a sewer line break, which resulted in flooding in our basement. When beginning to tear out flooring, we discovered mold, and decided to call a disaster company to assist with proper mold remediation. Initially, we started working with a different company, who did the bare minimum for drying out the area, and told us it would be 2 weeks to even obtain an estimate on full remediation, due to the presence of asbestos and involvement of another subcontractor of theirs. We needed the moldy material out of the house in order to begin sewer line repairs, so we looked to find a company we could work with directly, instead of subcontracting through an intermediary. Through our search, we came across Rockies Environmental and Demolition Services (R.E.D). Irwin, the owner, arrived to our house 2 hours after our initial phone call. He did an evaluation of scope and took measurements to prepare an estimate. While on site, he corrected several errors from the previous company (ex: 4ft of wall would need to be removed, per EPA guidelines , as this was Class 3 Water Damage – from sewer water; not 2ft as recommended by the pervious company), and explained in detail the process by which they would safely contain the asbestos work area. We received a quote back by end of day, as Irwin stated we would. R.E.D. worked seamlessly with our insurance company to provide estimate details and answer any questions for our adjuster. Since we were already getting a permit and setting up for asbestos removal, we decided to expand the scope and demo the full lower level of our home, removing all asbestos containing material. During initial setup, we decided to expand our scope again, and include an additional foyer wall. R.E.D was accommodating to these requests, and was able to quote and adjust quickly to our new requirements. The crew was punctual, hard working, clean, and respectful of our property. We got to know our two foremen, Alfredo and Roberto, who would give us updates throughout the workday, and a summary of work completed and tomorrow’s outlook at the end of each day. The project was completed within the estimated time frame, air sampling was clear, and the area was pristine and ready for us to begin renovations. Our experience with this company was so positive that we intend to use them for rebuilding our basement.

Miguel and his crew from Rockies Environmental were wonderful to work with. I have an older home and the asbestos abatement wasn't easy. The crew was diligent, responsive to my questions, and thorough.

We are 100% happy with the fantastic job Alfredo and his crew did!! After the Police, Fire Department and investigation was all said and done R.E.D.S came in and did the best job we could ask for. Irwen's team was able to finish and get the clearances to begin rebuild earlier than expected.. THANK YOU to everyone who put in the hard work and man hours to get my family out of this Hotel and back HOME.
