Justin P. Came out to help us with a broken spring. I let him know we got a quote from another company and they would do the work for $250. He informed me that the price they gave me was for 1 spring and that we should probably do both springs because the non broke spring was just as old. Justin also called the other company for me to verify what work was covered in that $250. Boulder Garage Door offered more service than just replacing a spring. Justin offered suggestions for future work to be done, inspected my current garage door and serviced it as well along with new springs. Above and beyond would be an understatement. I will definitely be using Boulder Garage Door again and i recommend them to anyone in need of service.
Unfortunately, I had a not-that-pleasant experience replacing my garage door with Boulder Garage Door after the recent hailstorm on May 30. Jimmy was very knowledgeable and easy to talk to during the garage door quote process, but a little pushy on closing the deal and upsold me on a more expensive garage door. He talked me into an almond color garage door with almond trim and I was happy with this decision. I paid the deposit using my credit card.
The install appointment was scheduled right away and a few weeks later the installer showed up on time. (great!) However, he came with the wrong trim color and the wrong weather seal for the bottom of the door (this was missed during the initial quote). He also told me I had to caulk the outside of the trim myself, which I thought was very odd. My credit card was charged for the full amount of the door on the install day, without my consent. I was never told or asked to use my credit card for this large sum payment. I didn't even receive an invoice or receipt until I asked for it. This to me, is VERY bad business conduct. I was shocked that my card was charged without my consent/knowledge.
I worked with Jimmy to get a follow up appointment scheduled to fix the wrong trim color and the wrong weather seal. They made me feel like this was my fault and it was such an inconvenience to fix their incorrect work...after I had paid the full door amount already. On the day of the fix appointment, the installer was a no-show and didn't come. He just showed up the next day unannounced to install the 2 new items. The new trim came dirty and is currently not installed properly-- part of the trim is stuck inside the garage door.
To top it off, the new almond trim color doesn't even match the almond garage door. The trim is more yellow.
The encounter ended very awkwardly and I was made to feel like their shortcomings were my fault, which they were not.

Boulder Garage Door is a fabulous operation. They have now helped us extend the life of our old door twice. In 2021 they replaced the motor and today Blair Johnson replaced the broken spring and the weather stripping. Blair was knowledgeable, courteous, and efficient. We also are grateful for the same day service!

Boulder Garage Door was an absolute pleasure to work with! Living in Summit County, I struggled to find a company to install a large garage for my business. Boulder Garage Door responded immediately after my initial inquiry and provided a quote within 24 hours. The quote was very reasonable, and they offered a variety of options to choose from.
I was able to pay the deposit shortly after receiving the quote, and they provided a delivery date within the month, which was much faster than any other company I contacted. They delivered our garage door on the exact promised date and kept us informed throughout the entire process. On installation day, the team worked efficiently and professionally, maintaining a clean work area and ensuring everything was done to our specifications.

Ian at Boulder Garage Door has been an enormous help. After his work at my home on the Front Range for an emergency repair I scheduled a time with them to send Ian up to my home in Summit County to replace two aged wooden garage door motors. He was prompt and thorough to make sure the squeaking doors and broken headers were replaced. Thank you Boulder Garage Door for being so responsive and thank you Ian for taking your time on both jobs to make sure my issues were addressed.
