The Golden West staff is a delight to work with. Very responsive and effective. Jimmy arrived the next day, diagnosed the problem and ordered the requisite part. He was back the next day to install it; and all is working great. We joined the GW VIP Club to get some great discounts. They're our go-to.HVAC company now.

Really love this company - I called with a swamp cooler issue on a 90+ degree day and they were able to send someone out immediately. Riley the technician was amazing. He was really kind and courteous and explained everything to me super clearly, and did a great job with the repair. He really went above and beyond my expectations diagnosing the issue and fixing it. Will definitely be using this company in the future!

The good: My technician Anthony L. was fantastic. He is a licensed plumber, electrician, and HVAC tech. He was able to address all of my issues with quality work. He was professional, friendly, knowledgeable, skilled and fast. I would work with Anthony any time, 5/5 stars for him. The bad (the reason for 3 stars overall): this company is egregiously expensive. I was in a time crunch so I had the work done anyway, but I probably will not use Golden West again given how they bill for work. They use a fixed cost system that is not nuanced with respect to the actual work that needs to be performed. Their billable hourly rate is $213/hr for miscellaneous work, which is fine for this level of service, but due to their broad brush fixed cost scope pricing system, I ended up paying about $360 per hour for 4-5 hours of work and maybe $50 worth of materials. I pay less per hour for an attorney.

Riley was very professional, respectful, and worked quickly and efficiently. We had a new furnace installed by GW but the AC was not working do to a defective “switchboard” piece with manufacturer defect. But this apparently happens sometimes, and fortunately all labor and replacement parts were covered under warranty and immediately resolved in a timely manner. Would recommend Golden West for anything heating and AC related.

Carlos was fantastic!!! I understand some keep to themselves, but my profession is in learning and instructional design, so naturally, I have a lot of questions. He was quick to educate me on some modern home features I wasn’t familiar with. It wasn’t hard for me to sign up for their VIP program after the friendly and professional service from Carlos and team. I know home services are in higher demand, but it’s companies with employees like you have really make the difference! Thank you!

Golden West Plumbing kept us informed of our appointment and when a technician would be there. Anthony came to give us a quote on an Air conditioner and/or updating our Evaporator cooler. He checked out the house thoroughly to see what was needed for either. He was very knowledgeable and informative. We also asked if he would see what was going on with our cooler that wasn’t working. He stayed and did a diagnostic on it and went and got what was needed to fix it. Charges were clear prior to his work. He’s a master at what he does and enjoyed having him to do the work.

I hired Golden West for swamp cooler start-up and inspection. Through the entire process these people were great. They kept me informed, showed up on time, were smart and nice. The technicians were very considerate of the house, worked thoroughly and were happy to answer any and all questions. Highly recommended.

My experience today was great!! The office called first thing in the morning. My tech came out in the time window given. He was very professional & friendly. Explained everything he did. Made sure all my questions were answered. Please send Carlos out again. Very positive experience. Pricing was similar to what I paid at my previous company that stopped providing service to swamp coolers last year, so I was okay with charges although everything cost more these days.

Anthony L. was fantastic! He did a new faucet and drain install for us and was super knowledgeable. Also had him flush the water heater while here and he had some good recommendations without being pushy in the least. Professional and courteous - would have him back in the house any day!
