Overall

Terrible service, no accountability or professionalism for pool service. Recommend against using them: I had Crystal Clear Pools and Spas open and close my pool last summer. They were unorganized and it was hard to set a date and time for them to come. I wanted to be present so I could ask questions. They took my pool plugs then tried to charge me $20 when closing for pool plugs for new ones. I said: "You opened the pool, you took the plugs, I noticed right away because I keep everything organized in my garage and you didn't leave them for me, so I assumed you would be bringing them back with you to close the pool. I know $20 isn't a lot but it's the principle that you're not reliable or organized" (The plugs were 1 year old - Crystal Clear put them in the previous Fall). They also actually booked two separate teams to come to my house on separate days to close the pool. So a couple days after they closed the pool, I got a call and voicemail from someone who was annoyed to be at my house and not have access through the locked gate to access my pool. I called back and explained that someone had already been out. This Spring when I called to schedule them to open my pool, I was told they wouldn't be doing business with me any more because I don't appreciate their work. Great business model - don't improve, just don't work with the client.

It was challenging to locate the appropriate fitting. We searched extensively, and Crystal Clear provided a compatible part for their Doughboy brand that functioned exceptionally well. The repair was completed on the same day, thanks to the outstanding and honest staff. I will always recommend their services. Thank you!

Wow, simply AMAZING .. is half of what I can say about this company and most particularly a tech named Jake. I have never been so pleased and appreciative for the professionalism and the kindness shown by this company and employees.. 1000% recommended.

Went in asking what kind of pool would be good for my back yard, the response I got was "well I can't answer that unless I know what kind of pool you want to buy". That was literally what I went in asking for help with... never bought one, don't know what to buy. Guy looked at me and waited for me to ask questions, I was so confused. They might be honest but they don't have people skills.

To be fair, I'm not a customer, but I'm at a restaurant next to some of the workers.

First bearded worker decided to take a phone call while ordering. The staff asked a few questions which he ignored. He then complained he was being ignored and them not ringing him while on the phone. Extremely rude.

Then the larger boss man shows up and these two start talking about how the lady is nice to look at, but has a bad attitude.

The staff lady had been here for a long time and is very pleasant, but I also don't answer by phone while interacting with people.

If these are the type of people you want to do business with, thats your choice.

I live 40 miles from any pool stores, and I called on Saturday to see if they had what I needed and they did! Didn't make it to the store until Sunday and they had saved it for me without paying for it ahead of time. That's a really great thing. Super helpful and answered several questions I had about chemicals to fix a problem I was having. I will be back to this store in the future.

DO NOT BUILD POOL WITH CRYSTAL CLEAR POOLS AND SPAS: We used them to install a fiberglass pool in our backyard and they were a nightmare to work with. They were unaccountable, untimely, uncommunicative, unwilling to coordinate work with landscaper/home builder.
We built a house and wanted to install a pool in the backyard. We met with Crystal Clear Pools who said getting a fiberglass pool in would take about 3-4 months and it was great to coordinate with building the house for electrical, gas and water as well as landscaping.  The truth was different.
The project was supposed to start April but was initially delayed due to "the pool manufacturer having a fire" and then supposedly "the truck driver had an accident while towing the pool." I suspect poor planning and coordination of their multiple projects caused the delay. They finally got around to removing soil and placing the pool into the ground in September. Then they said they were going to have to place the project on hold through winter: An open pool with water in it, needing to heat and circulate to not break pipes, no cover on, no fence b/c landscaping wasn't able to be completed because Crystal Clear Pools didn't complete their portion of the project. I said this is an insurance nightmare!: a drowning accident waiting to happen. So we had to keep a pool open and circulating throughout the winter. They were like: It's great! you can use the pool in the winter! I replied: my backyard is a mud field because your project isn't completed and neither is the landscaping. Doesn't sound like how I envisioned the first use of the pool would be. I think they got around to pouring concrete, placing the pool cover on and winterizing the pool in February after my insurance carrier berated me and I begged them Crystal Clear Pools to at least make it safe.
- Other things: During the digging phase: They didn't check to see where utility wires were and apparently placed the pool over the electric wire to the house and by some act of god didn't clip it. However, they did clip the electric wire closer to where it connects to the house. Xcel was called out and couldn't believe what kind of experts would build a pool without finding out where the utilities were; Xcel said they were going to fine Crystal Clear although I'm not sure what happened.
- The huge pile of dirt that was removed to place the pool in the ground remained in my backyard throughout winter. They tried to say it was my responsibility to remove the dirt. I pulled out the contract and showed them no, it wasn't. They said they had to find a dump site to remove it and it would take a while (Is this the first pool you built? - how do you not have an idea of where to dump the dirt?).
- They didn't place the size of concrete patio around the pool that I asked and paid for (Don't think anyone ever took notes - so how would've they remembered what we discussed. I documented our conversations in emails to them well to help keep us on the same page but later realized it was helpful in showing them where they were not following what we agreed to.) They credited me the cost difference but then I paid more for the landscapers to place pavers to make the pool patio the size I wanted.
- They charged me to have their electrician put in another electric panel for the pool - I had given Crystal Clear Pools my builder's contact information so they could coordinate with the builder who I was already paying to install the necessary gas, water, electrics for them.
- "Pool School" which is included to teach me how to operate and maintain the pool was a joke - had to YouTube everything.
- It's a salt water pool and I don't think the salt-water generator they installed works: I had it running on high the whole summer but the chlorine was constantly low, so I was having to put chlorine in like a regular chlorine pool. I asked them to look at it but never got anyone to do so.

Crystal Clear pools did an amazing job restoring my pool. Jason and Jake saw the potential in our old in ground pool and did a great job. This 20 year old pool suffered years of neglect, but Crystal Pools brought it back to life. I highly recommend this company. The photos speak for themselves.
