After another company refused to return my phone calls regarding the replacement of the water main shutoff in my house which was leaking, I went with Basset Heating & Air Conditioning. James was able to find the part that I requested and even had some recommendations that made sense that the other company didn't think of. Putting a ball valve before the inline water filter that the other company installed. That way, when I need to change the filter, I don't have to worry about draining the water from the lines in the entire house. Just between the filter and the main shutoff which are sitting right next to each other. I was also told by the other company that it would cost me over $12,000 to have water lines and some way to drain water from a utility tub in my basement. There is no running water or floor drains in the basement. We have a sump that is sealed off due to radon. When I asked if we could drain the water into the sump, I was told no because the pump wouldn't be able to handle it. When I brought this up to James, he said that the pump would more than handle the amount of water going down the drain and told me that I could do it myself. He was right. Bought the tub, a couple of short lengths of PVC, a couple of 90° elbows, and a hole saw. Re-sealed the area where I drilled the hole through the plexiglass for the PVC and done. (Contacted the company that installed the Radon system and they stated that this is fine.) I had Basset tap my PEX and run hot and cold water lines with on/off at the end and we were in business for WAY less than $12,000. Woke up the next morning and due to a manufacturer's defect, one of the compression fittings was leaking. James was out the next day to replace the fitting. NO LEAKS!! James is very courteous and very mindful of our uncaged parrots. He even offered to come down on his day off to replace the ball valve on the water main! Thank you James and thank you Basset Heating & Air Conditioning!

Great service, wonderful people, and readily available. I've had a couple of experiences with Basset ranging from quotes, HVAC service and installations, and some electrical work which are all gone well. I would like to especially thank Thomas and Clayton for the most recent work, but would love to extend this thanks to the entire Basset team.

Long story short, Bassett told me I had a leak from my A/C into my furnace and both systems needed to be replaced for $15k. The “leak” was caused by a removed valve cap that we found on the floor next to the furnace, which I am confident had not been there as I had been in the utility closet a couple days prior to take pictures of the unit and change the filter. I am trying to give Bassett the benefit of the doubt, but am struggling to do so. In the very least, they did not do their due diligence by properly inspecting the furnace. I got a free second opinion from a competitor who immediately diagnosed the leak and an issue with my furnace motor that can be fixed for around $700; the A/C is running fine. Incredibly disappointed in Bassett, as I had used them for A/C install in the past and trusted their opinion, but not anymore.

Fantastic customer service. Kevin did a great job getting our kitchen sink to drain properly and was very thorough. If I have anymore concerns with the projects they handle I will definitely be using them again.

Patrick Bradford was GREAT! Our heating system stopped working in the morning on the weekend before Christmas! He was here writhing the hour. Knew what he was doing and had it back up in running within the hour. He was very helpful in explaining what went wrong and how he fixed it. Very happy with the work done and glad we will have heat this Christmas!

There are a great many things to say about the service I got from Basset this past week and I would like to start from the beginning. I filled out the online appointment form and got an almost immediate reply and an appointment to come look at my furnace. It was a bit chilly and I got a note with a picture of the serviceman that would show up and a note stating when he would be here which is a great innovation.
Bobby showed up and went right to work diagnosing the problem and as he was cleaning the sensors we got to talking and I asked what was the usual lifetime on a furnace and he said usually around 15 years but they can last longer with repairs. Our furnace was over 20 years old and since we have been having a lot of trouble with it the last few years I asked about getting a new furnace. We made a deal right after he talked with his boss to make sure they had one that would match the heating requirements of our house and would fit where the old furnace was. He fixed the old furnace and it operated well enough until the new one could be installed early the next week.
Lorenzo and Chris came out on a cold and blustery Tuesday morning with the new furnace and after scoping out the old furnace and what they needed to do they began work. They were both very efficient and quick and also very careful to not make a mess which I appreciated and commented on and was told that it was just part of their service. They removed the old furnace and then replaced it with a new one making sure that everything was done perfectly. They then installed CO detectors to meet the current construction code and would have installed a new thermostat as well but I elected to keep my Nest thermostat. They they made a test run of the furnace to make sure everything worked as it should. It worked very well and is super quiet too.
The inspection was scheduled for the next day and when the inspector came by I took him to the basement to do his inspection. He was very thorough and commented on the high quality of the work Lorenzo and Chris had done on installing our furnace. He was very favorably impressed by their work and the note they left him to make sure that he knew they had sealed the inside as well as the outside of the furnace. He checked the CO detectors as well.
The Duct Cleaning was also just as professional and Brendan even showed up early after calling and asking if he could come by early. He was very thorough and talked me through everything that he was doing so I knew what was being done and how. An outstanding young man who loves what he is doing.
Thank you all there at Basset you now have a highly satisfied new customer.

I have been using Basset Heating & Air for years to service my HVAC system. After 21 years of use, my water heater went out yesterday. Eric came by later in the day to assess the issue. And of course I needed a new water heater. Eric showed me 3 different options (models) to purchase from. BH scheduled the install for the next morning. Kevin did the installation. He was very professional and knowledgeable and did a clean installation. He reviewed the entire system with me and walked me through making adjustments to the water temperature, water shutoff and restarting the pilot light. I even asked a few questions about our heating system he was able to answer! Both Eric and Kevin made the selection and installation of my new water heater stress free! Their texting/appointment system is great too. Keeping you informed from start to finish about your scheduled appointments.
