John was absolutely wonderful to work with. He designed me a dream kitchen and worked with my budget. I'm thrilled with the finished product and highly recommend him.
My husband and I had a truly great experience working with John on our kitchen remodel. We started our remodel when I was pregnant with our second baby, because of this we had a pretty strict time frame to work around and John was excellent in helping us navigate this. He was there every step of the way, from delivery to install and answered any and all questions we had in a timely manner. We are beyond happy with how our new kitchen turned out and can't thank John enough for how smooth the process went!

John is a wonderful designer, and our new kitchen is amazing.
The only drawback was due to a supply chain interruption due to COVID. Certain materials were not immediately available when needed.

John Yates has great design ideas for our kitchen and bathroom. For us it was Easy to select shower tile and fixtures with so many beautiful choices. Our Kitchen was like a custom design only that could fit our space. All thoughtful and managed well.

John was great to work with! At first we toured his facility and his portfolio and were very impressed but not sure we could accomplish what we wanted within our budget. John was persistent that we could make it happen and we couldn’t be happier with the results. He was very professional came to our house to do measurements and survey the area for our kitchen, then returned to his studio and presented us with a drawn out detailed plan. We were able to put in our input, pick colors, materials, hardware, and even sent us to pick out our slabs for the countertops. Over the next few weeks he returned to our house to personally check and see the cabinets come off the truck, and spoke to our carpenter during install. This was all done within our budget and now we have our dream open kitchen/office area we envisioned. We are very happy with the results and we’re very happy that we did it all within our timeline and budget. John was great to work with and we have recommended him to others who have also used him and are thrilled with the outcome. Highly recommend!

I first met John Yates, the owner of Connecticut Kitchen and Bath Studio about 30 years ago. We were both in Maine at that time, John doing kitchen and bath design and I had a design/build company doing custom homes. I understood even back then that the kitchen was the single most important interior design element in the success of a great home. John had already done hundreds of kitchens and his knowledge of great design and product choices made the process straight forward and enjoyable for both the owner and me. When it came time to design a kitchen for our own home remodel we again worked with John and the result was fantastic.
Since then, John moved to Connecticut, and we ended up in Massachusetts. We built a home back in 2003 and just built a new home this year, and on both occasions worked with John. Each kitchen is better than the last. We are extremely satisfied with our latest and I’m guessing last new kitchen. It is an absolute pleasure to work in, no bumping into each other and a proper place for everything. It is both practical and elegant, in my opinion the perfect combination. I’m guessing John has done thousands of kitchens in his career and he has really fine-tuned his craft. Thanks again John…

We recently hired John to help us remodel the large, outdated kitchen in our home. John brought great design ideas to the project and listened closely to what we were looking for, then made our dream kitchen come to life! He advised us throughout the process on the pros and cons of different options, both with respect to quality and to style. We couldn't be happier with the way everything turned out and would definitely use John again in the future.

CT Kitchen & Bath Studio LLC was able to make a small space look spacious. John Yates was able to convince us to go with a much more expensive wall-hung toilet that had an in-wall carrier behind the toilet in the bathroom wall. This gave us an additional 10" between the toilet and the vanity, which was enormous from an aesthetic and functional point of view. The clumsy tub was replaced with a sizable tempered glass shower, which visually opened the small space up. The custom wall-hung vanity with quartz top and custom integral bowl is narrow enough to allow easy passage to the toilet area. All in all, it is a complete metamorphosis from the dysfunctional original bathroom, both functionally and aesthetically. We love the new space and would recommend John, who also did a fabulous kitchen renovation for an us, for any bath or kitchen project.

We got our dream kitchen! John was easy to work with; listened to our desires and needs and made it all happen. It was worth the wait to get it done right. The installer did a FABULOUS job! All involved were very professional.

John assisted us in designing our kitchen during the new construction of our house. Given that the space was not huge, he made some excellent recommendations regarding the structure itself and, since we were still in the construction phase, we were able to modify the shape of the overall space to optimize the kitchen design. He spent ample time providing us with options and was creative in his use of our available space to maximize our storage. John's design was a huge improvement over the design provided by our builder and I am thankful for his involvement. We found the cabinets he chose to be an excellent value and aesthetically we have received many compliments on our kitchen. John was responsive to our questions, found him easy to work with and given our satisfaction with the end-result would recommend him to others.

We recently moved to CT and bought an older home that desperately needed a kitchen remodel. In speaking to a few neighbors, we found that John Yates was the person for our project. We liked the way he listened to our ideas and understood our concerns. He did a great job in enlarging our kitchen by utilizing the sunroom's space. The addition of natural light and view of the backyard now make the kitchen a special place. But not to be overlooked —the layout of the kitchen is a cook’s delight, and the cabinetry makes it a showpiece.
The contractor, whom John recommended for the job, was excellent in recreating our kitchen according to the design.

We wanted to remodel our kitchen and alter the layout to have a better flow. John Yates came up with an amazing design and we just love it. The whole process went smoothly. It was one stop shopping - we were able to pick out the cabinets, hardware, counters, and plumbing fixtures right from John's store. He also arranged for a contractor to handle the install and all went very smoothly and there were no issues and the project was completed on schedule. It was the easiest remodel I have ever done and we are so pleased with the results. I would highly recommend Connecticut Kitchen & Bath Studio for your kitchen remodel!

John Yates did a wonderful job working with us to design and remodel our kitchen. From the start, he worked with our budget in mind, secured an excellent contractor that he had worked with regularly, and offered some new ideas to compliment the ideas we came in with. John made excellent recommendations for fixtures, faucets, etc. and we are happy with everything. When a few cabinets were delivered from the cabinet company with a few issues, he stayed with the company until all issues were resolved satisfactorily for us. We enjoyed working with John and our kitchen looks great! We enthusiastically recommend John Yates at CT Kitchen and Bath Design.
