Prompt, professional service. I highly recommend them. Water dispenser stopped working. He told me I had my fridge set too cold and it froze the reservoir... a few hours on a lower temp and the water started flowing again... rooky mistake on my part...but his explanation was worth the bill to understand how my fridge is supposed to work.

7/15/2020 Unexpectedly, my 20 year old refrigerator/freezer stopped cooling and freezing with little notice. Thought I would need a new one for sure or was in for some very costly repairs, at the very least. I contacted John at Affordable Appliance. Getting his name off of Google and being a first-time customer, I did not know what to expect. Would I have to wait for days? Well, I need not have worried. John was very professional, called me back quickly, came to the house the next day, diagnosed the problem (a broken relay), had one on the truck, repaired my fridge in short order and the charge was most reasonable. It has now been about five days since my repair and all continues to work perfectly. In fact, everything seems to be running smoother and the unit even sounds a bit quieter, if that is possible. John really seems to know his stuff and I would have no qualms whatsoever contacting him again for any appliance service. I feel most fortunate to have found such a qualified, well-informed repairman. Addendum 7/29/21: Was just checking out my reviews and realized I had not posted about the second time John came out. After I wrote my original review, my back-up refrigerator/freezer (over 20 years old) broke down about three weeks later! Once again, I called John. He came as soon as he could and repaired it, again for a very reasonable charge. Since COVID has caused the delay of availability of new refrigerator/freezers for months, I am even more pleased John could repair my appliances. It is now over one year later and both continue to work well. Frank O'Neill Madison, CT

Called and spoke with John, (I assume he owns but not sure), explained that our stove caught fire. Athough it was small and quickly put out, one burner was not working. Long story short, he was there that day checked everything to make sure there wasn't other problems and ordered the correct burner. John was very professional, kind, courteous, and quick with his work. I highly recommend him. As a footnote I looked at the rest of the reviews and noticed that the only bad review was for no communication. I find that hard to believe because he was in contact with me several times and returned my calls within a couple hours. I also want to say that this was my first experience with Affordable Appliance, and it won't be my last.

John is always very courteous and keeps to his scheduled appointment times. He’s quick to diagnose and fix the problems and his prices are very reasonable. I’ve had to call him out for both our dishwasher and our dryer and he has always been able to quickly figure out the problem and get it fixed. As we were getting ready for a recent vacation our washer broke. I called and spoke to John who told me he would be in my area in a couple days. When I explained to him that this was kind of an Emergency (leaving the next day) he said to give him a few minutes. John called right back and said he could be there with him the hour. After I explained what was going on; he was literally done in minutes. He even had the replacement part with him! John was a life saver!!! Great communications, super personable and very reasonable rates.... I will “highly” recommend affordable appliance to all my friends and family In the future!
