Al at Fairchild Custom Upholstery is our go to guy for any type of repairs to anything upholstered. Being in the carpet & upholstery cleaning business we have people ask us "do we know a good upholsterer" without hesitation we recommend Al. Al has been doing re-upholstery his entire life, starting as a kid at the old Castro Convertible Furniture plant on Rowan street many years ago, i would call that experienced. Al is an exceptionally experienced and ethical person. He has recovered many pieces of furniture, all looked beautiful. He has made cushions for our deck that are perfect. He is a pleasure to deal with, he knows his business and delivers a perfect end product. We will be using him without hesitation throughout the future years.

Old school professionalism. I had an worn out couch with down cushions that I needed to be fixed. He gave me a fair price, explained to me the choices I had in filler (I chose firm foam instead) and even patched some holes! It was done in less than a week. Excellent quality and a pleasure to work with. I believe he also picks up and delivers for large pieces. Highly recommend.
