Civil Engineering has been handling surveys for a number of my clients for years. They are wonderful to work with! Communication is great and their prices are reasonable. I can rely on accuracy of their work as well which is very important in my line of work.

Very disappointed using Civil Engineering Associates LLC. I closed on my house May 8th 2020. Moved in May 16th 2020. They came out to survey my land and DID NOT PIN ME LAST YEAR. They were paid and did not do their job. Fast forward to July 26 2021 still not pinned. I called the developer of my development and asked if the staked corners were my property lines. I was told yes. I started with my fence. I called Civil Engineering Associates LLC on Monday July 26th and advised them of what my developer said about the stakes. I was told someone would be out to my location. Once Civil Engineering Associates LLC came out, I spoke to a worker who admitted he was at my home last summer and I asked why it was not pinned and he had no explanation. So they do their survey and my fence was 4" on the developer's land. I had to pay my fence company to move my post inside my pin. Had my property been pinned in a REASONABLE AMOUNT OF TIME, I would not have had to rely on the developer's word of where my property was. The flag was 4" from where they placed the pin. Why did the closing attorney pay these guys and they not complete their job? Now I'm out of money because of their lack of doing a job they were paid 1 year ago for. I guess they pin when paying clients call....smh

I'd love to give no stars. This company was supposed to survey our property and stake it prior to our closing. When we received the keys to the house, I discovered the stakes were never put in. I called the same day and left a message. A week later, no response. I called twice more, and sent an email. Finally I had to reach out to the firm that handled our settlement, who reached out to CEA and told them to tell me they would come out to put the stakes, but they did complete the survey, and they weren't sure why we never received our copy. This was after 3 weeks of trying to get in contact with the company. They came this past Friday, and the crew spent 3 hours laughing, goofing off, relaxing in the back of the truck, and then finally staking my property. They also staked it incorrectly. Literally the marker for the front of the property doesn't match up with the marker for the back, and this doesn't match up with the straight line depicted in survey they "completed, and didn't download from the county website". So I paid $400.00 for crooked lines across my property, a completely unprofessional staff that can't call back a client after 3 messages, and one email, and to begin a feud with my neighbor who now feels it necessary to take it upon himself to SPRAY PAINT my driveway marking the line he feels is the correct property boundary. Absolutely do not recommend them. If you're shopping around for a company to do your survey while purchasing a home, keep looking, and most importantly, start sooner than later so that you won't be pressed for choices as your closing date nears.
