1st the good, the family has been around for ever and own some very nice land to build on, and one of the few companies building on lots > 0.5 acres. The quality of the construction is also adequete. But bring your patience if you plan on dealing with them, one of the lease organized companies I have ever dealth with in any setting, from the owners on down. Be prepared to keep track of all the price changes and requests yourself because they are not on top of that. They also don't make logical business decisions. Example , before I built on thier lot I offered $125k for a lot they priced at $135k. They said they couldn't accept a penny less than $135k. A month later they dropped the price to $120k. The lot still didnt sell and 60 days later they raised the price to $155k? Thier follow up on warranty and punch list items also leaves a lot to be desired.
If you can put up with all the headaches and frustration, are organized, and have your own vision of what you want, you can certainly end up with a nice home on a larger lot than what you would get with a production builder. Otherwise you may have a more enjoyable experience with another builder.

I have been waiting eight months to have a water stain in one of our bedrooms repaired and after dozens of calls I am still waiting. Someone should be fired in the service department!
