Our Job was set to begin on a specific date which was ultimately pushed back 2 weeks because the company was running behind. Once the job began, there were significantly delays as the employees showed up every third day for a couple of hours at a time before leaving. They would roll in around 10 or 11 and would be gone by 1. This company is incompetent or overbooked, but either way the employees were never there longer than a couple of hours at a time, if they showed up at all. There were weeks when the workers were there a total of 8 hours, and the workers specifically told us it was because they were spending time at other jobs.
When “half” of the job was complete we were significantly disappointed in both the craftsmanship and diligence. The woodwork was all uneven, there was a significant amount of caulking used everywhere, and paint was slapped on top to cover (splash marks on wood flooring left behind). I honestly could have done a better job myself and I have zero experience in woodworking.
We followed up with the owner on several occasions as the finished product did not appear anything like the custom job we had expected. The employees were told to come back out on several occasions to remedy the issues and after their third attempt it was obvious that the finished product was never going to look any better so the remainder of the job was canceled. What originally began as a 2-week job, took 2 months to complete half of the work originally requested. The delays and craftsmanship were extremely unprofessional and certainly not “custom” by any stretch of the imagination.
