Had a great experience with Gulf Coast Heating and the team. Randy was the first one I got to meet. He came to give me a quote based on what I needed. It did take him a little time to send me back the quote, but he did apologize and made sure to send it within the week. The quote I got was within my range and I went ahead and booked for them to come on a Saturday. They arrived on time, explained everything, had a permit in hand and all the paperwork needed. Ruben was professional and friendly, as well as the rest of the crew. It took about half a day to install and, what a difference between that and the old unit. They finished and cleaned after themselves. Randy then came to make sure all was done correctly and touched based on what I needed for the warranty and in order to submit my rebates. Very professional and courteous. Thank you!

Good service. The current diagnostic fee is $99 and applies whether they service your HVAC system or not. I had a capacitor replacement done by Casey.
The reason for 2/5 stars is because I paid cash and had to give the company an additional $6 because Casey stated that they do not carry change and they do not give change for cash. The price is the same whether you pay cash or card (odd for this area), though a card has an additional % fee, which was more than the additional $6 I had to just give to the company in cash. I later noticed that my receipt which was emailed to me stated that I paid the exact amount (I paid MORE), which tells me that the technician pocketed my money after stating that the company does not provide change for cash transactions so I had to just pay more. This is a dishonest business practice. I will let my neighbors know and never use this company again.

Update: Had I not left this review, I never would have received my change from the company. This is why it is so important to leave reviews for services-- especially if a service technician lies to you to steal your money!

I wanted to take the time to highlight excellent customer service we received today.

We made an emergency call today to service our ac which had stopped working. Casey S arrived shortly after we spoke to the dispatcher. He quickly identified the problem and thoroughly explained what needed to be done to address the issue. He patiently answered all of our questions and ensured we are well prepared to better maintain our ac system.

We very much appreciate his thoroughness, attention to detail, and clear communication throughout the service call. This was one of the best service calls we’ve had with any vendor or service, and we are very grateful his expertise and assistance on a weekend.

Scott, who installed my mini split A/C system, was very knowledgeable and professional. He was on time and made sure everything was working properly. He made sure everything was cleaned up and any boxes, etc. were taken away leaving my home in great shape.

Landscappers crushed my coolent lines. I called Gulf Coast. They came out right away, gave me a fair estimate and did the work 2 days later - moving stuff around to squeeze in my emergency repair. Other companies I called were either too busy, or non-competitive price wise. Tech was very professional, and the work looks neat and clean. Will use them again, and will definitely call them next time I need a system replaced.
