Blusolar made a great sales pitch, arranged our loan, put panels and battery up. But not quite finished. Sits on my roof for 3 months not operating. And they have disappeared from the face of the earth. Not a single response from my desperate 100+ call email text attempts. And they got their money from their loan company! Massive disrespect. Can’t describe my disappointment. And now I start my loan payments.

I have been waiting since April for my installation. The last contact I had with one of the representatives was in June. I was told that they just got the permit from the city. Now it is August and I can not get in touch with anyone. I called the finance co. to cancel the loan agreement. Also, there are complaints filed with BBB on this company. So sad when you try to support.

In August 2020, I bought (27) Silfab solar panels and (27) Enphase inverters that Blu Solar installed at my residence. Due to the extensive tree cover above the home, the panels do not receive enough direct sunlight to generate a meaningful amount of energy for my use. Pre-installation, when I informed the owner of Blu Solar, Mr. Harrison, that I did not want solar panels on my home if it meant cutting down any trees, he assured me that the panels would work well if I trimmed tree limbs and branches every few years. He knew this to be false, but went ahead with installing the panels, after I incurred the expense of hiring a tree trimming service. Since the solar panels have been online, two independent experts have inspected the tree coverage above my home and they agree that generating a meaningful amount of electricity, enough to cover average utility needs, would require cutting down several trees. They also agree that my location is not a suitable site for installing a solar system and confirmed that good business practice in the solar industry is to inform the customer of this significant limitation and not install a system as it would not perform to expectations. I am an environmentalist. In 2015, I received a Master of Arts in Urban Sustainability, and currently serve in a municipal government sustainability office where I create programs that focus on lessening the City's GHG emissions and environmental impact. This is why I was so insistent during my initial consultation with Blu Solar, that I was not interested in installing solar panels if this would require me to cut down any trees. Mr. Harrison and Blu Solar knowingly deceived me into purchasing their solar panels for $30,000 plus the cost of 30 years of financing and now refuse to allow me to return the product and terminate the loan agreement. I requested the cancellation of my contract with Blu Solar in March 2021 and asked them to remove the panels from my roof. However, after months of delay, Blu Solar offered to remedy my complaint by cutting down my trees. This is an outcome that I made clear was unacceptable to me, and that they'd assured me would not be necessary. I was conned into entering into a loan agreement for $48,013.53, which requires me to make monthly payments for 30 years, in order to purchase solar panels that cannot generate meaningful amounts of electricity for my use. My energy bill to the local utility has never changed in the year since the installation so I now pay for energy utility AND solar panels purchase. This is just not fair, and companies should not be permitted to do this to unwitting consumers. Since beginning down this road with Blu Solar, I have learned that it is standard practice in the solar industry (in fact, it is mandated in some states) to provide potential customers with a written proposal including: · An estimated return on investment (in years and months) · A production guarantee · Estimated kWh production · Estimated monthly savings, in dollars · Comparison between my current utility bill and the post-solar utility bill · Explanation of how to read my new bill and how the Net Energy Metering program works I received none of the above from Blu Solar! To resolve this issue, I want the contract cancelled, solar panels and inverters and wiring system removed, and all roof penetrations sealed.

WOW. What can I say? I have BluSolar panels installed. BluSolar in my opinion, is top notch. They have the best people from salespersons, Customer Service, installers, & technicians that I have EVER had the pleasure to work with. Because they go over and above & beyond to work with you. The technician (K.)All but stood on his head & drew me a picture of how it all worked & answered all my questions until I understood. The customer service lady (K.) helped me set up an almost impossible appointment time so I could be there. Thanks again to all the BLUSolar peeps ???
