I worked for this company as a lifeguard from May to early July of 2024. When I did my interview I was told that pay goes by age and that I would be getting $21 AN HOUR!!! That was not the case when I started I found out I would only be making $16. I just said whatever and toughed it out since I needed a temporary job for the summer and I had already busted my butt at lifeguard training. This company is very unprofessional and takes advantage of young teens, I was told by higher up no one could speak about what they get paid with each other or it could result in us being fired. ITS ILLEGAL for a company to make that accusation they just don’t want the kids to find out they all get different pay. Im 21 years old and there were kids three years younger than me making $2-$3 more than me. Not to mention Hope Adkins is probably the most immature and petty adult I’ve came across and speaks to staff very passively and petty when upset and I’m sure most employees would definitely agree. They also write people up for no reason like a friend of mine worked morning shift and left the pool clean whereas the evening shift left the pool a mess and she got a write up for it because she worked the same day and united pools claims it’s because they’re a “team.” I had got a better job opportunity that pays more and just fit into my schedule a lot more I had to quit and I explained that to Hope very kindly and I understood it wasn’t professional to not put in my two weeks, but she texted me back very rudely and unprofessional almost just being really passive and told me I’d have to pick up my last paycheck all the way in Roswell because I failed to put in my two weeks- never heard of such a thing. My last check ended up depositing into my account anyways so that tells me she just said that to be petty and it’s not the first time she’s said things like that just to be petty, and that’s ridiculous for a woman in her 50s. My advice to Hope stop acting like a grown baby. I’ve quit that job almost two months ago and I still hear complaints about her from past co workers. I enjoyed the job and the pool I worked at and the people, just hated the unprofessionalism from the higher ups. This company is rigged.

I am so grateful when I walk in with my young kids and see that Jude is there to lifeguard. Of all the United lifeguards, he is the one who I know is always keeping a watchful eye on the water at all times. He is professional and takes his job seriously, as any lifeguard should. He is kind, respectful, and trustworthy. Please give this young man a raise.

I wanted to take a moment to commend Ricardo for his excellent handling of a volatile situation that took place at Orinda Park Pool with a member and another lifeguard. Ricardo jumped in and not only diffused the situation but he took the time to speak to every single member that was involved or witnessed the concerning situation to put them at ease. I am always very impressed with Ricardo, but in this circumstance, he went above and beyond and wanted to let you know. He's fantastic!

I am extremely disappointed with the service provided by United Pools. Our community pool has been in a deplorable state for weeks, with visible debris, algae growth, dead frogs and overall poor sanitation. Despite multiple complaints, there has been no noticeable improvement. The lack of proper maintenance poses a serious health risk to residents. It’s clear that this company is not upholding the basic standards required for pool care. I strongly advise against using their services if you value cleanliness and safety.

This company does not do pool cleaning justice. This is what our neighborhood pool looks like today with 2x weekly cleanings.

Whenever we are at the NCC pool, I always notice Mary’s kind spirit and how outgoing she is with the children. She is regularly engaging with the pool goers, when she is closing pool she makes a point to walk by everyone who is still there and let them know individually that she is no longer on duty and is always smiling and happy to be there. Today, we were the only people at the pool and Mary came from her stand and actively engaged with my 3 year old in the water and played with him. She could have just as easily stayed where she was, and still have been doing her job but instead (and even in the 93 degree heat) she went above and beyond and absolutely made my sons day. I am truly blown away by Mary’s incredible attitude and joyful spirit. We love having her at the pool!

It’s my first season with United Pools, and I’m so proud and honored to be apart of our TEAM! I really couldn’t ask for a better summer job or better bosses who I admire so much. They’re so flexible and understanding and you can tell that they truly care for each and every one of us. One of my absolute favorite people at United Pools is Ms. Hope! She’s such an admirable person and I look up to her so much. You can see how hard she works and how much effort she puts into United Pools and all its guards. I appreciate her so much for all that she does and I seriously think she’s one of the sweetest and most admirable people I’ve ever met. Can’t wait to spend many more seasons with this amazing company!

We love Ronaldo at the Druid Hills Golf Club Pool! He started with us last year and immediately set a very intentional tone of safety with the families. He made an effort to get to know my daughters, aged 4 and 1.5 last summer. Fast forward to this summer and he remembers my girls, and has not hesitated to continue to reconnect with them and us. He still continues to focus on safety and communicates rules (some new compared to before times) clearly and holds firm when necessary. We really appreciate Ronaldo’s attention to safety and also understanding our pool culture / how to work with our families to enforce safety while also having fun and being encouraging to kids learning to swim.
