The product is fine but the coordination and follow through after the sale is distinctly lacking. Their coordination with my framing contractor was poor. Detailed written instructions were not provided. This resulted in significant rework costs.

Four projects with various configurations, and all were successful in every aspect. Thank you.

The company lately provided a very bad service. When you are in emergency situation, they didn’t even care to respond quick enough. The technician came to perform an annual inspection and 4 days later I found the magnetic tapes were located at wrong positions causing the elevator malfunctioned and I got trapped . I called and a lady named Daniele said they would come….tomorrow! I emphasized I’m trapped in the elevator! She totally ignored my situation. I asked them to change the folding flapper. The technician installed it wrongly…. Lots of troubles lately with this company.

I 've filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau against American Elevator Company located at 4177 Suwanee Dam Road, Suwanee, GA 30024 and want to make the public aware of this company. After speaking to several companies about purchasing a stairlift for my mother in 2021, I decided to purchase a brand new stairlift in the amount of $3,800.00 from American Elevator Company. I made the decision to purchase a new stairlift versus a refurbished stairlift in large part due to the promise from the salesperson that the company would buy back the stairlift from me if I had no need for it in the future. Sadly, after having the stairlift for only 12 months, my mother passed away. Not having a use for the stairlift any longer, I called my original salesperson and was told that they would purchase the stairlift for 10% of the purchase price. If I would have been told up front that their buy back price was only 10% of the original purchase price, I would have opted for the refurbished stairlift. Ten percent is such a fraction of the original purchase price it is absurd and insulting to call it a buy back. I am not being unreasonable and filing this complaint expecting 95% of the original price. I would consider 50% to at least be fair, especially since they will service and resell this unit. American Elevator Company is deliberately misleading people to purchase a new item believing that they will be able to make up the difference in cost over the refurbished item in the future. This is an unacceptable and unethical business practice. It is especially grievous as they are taking advantage of families that are trying to care for sick and/or elderly family members. I am requesting a reasonable buy back price of which is 50% or less but won't accept 10% of the original purchase price, and for American Elevator Company to revise their buy back policy to tell customers up front what percentage of the purchase price they can expect so they can make an informed decision. I spoke with Travis the Manager who told me I should accept the 10% and be happy. What customer Service! Update:4/24/2022 American Elevator Company Sales Manager, Mr. Kamran Shaikh, assisted me in selling my stair lift. He went out of his way to connect me with someone who was in need of a stairlift for a family member coming from Ukraine. I know it was a blessing to be able to provide this at a low but reasonable cost to someone in need. I've been in a leadership role in Corporate America for over 20 years and can see that Kamran should not only be recognized by leadership but should be in upper management. After speaking with leadership at the Company, I know he has the ability to take the Company to the next level. His customer service experience coupled with his communication and attention to details makes him a valuable staff member that would excel in any company. I'm pleased with the outcome and can't thank Mr. Shaikh enough. Update: 5/3/2022 I have increased the Star rating Only because of the service provided by Mr. Shaika and not management.

Fantastic customer service with a reasonable response time. Jason, who was here today to provide maintenance, was the original installer and is so knowledgeable and helpful. Absolutely highly recommend this company.

We love our new Stannah Stairlift that we had installed for my 83-year-old mother, and many thanks to the folks at American Elevator of Atlanta for making it happen. Kamran (Sales) was very knowledgeable about the product and very easy to work with. Our installer was also very knowledgeable and was very expedient in getting the lift installed. Would recommend that anyone considering a stairlift contact the good folks at AE of Atlanta. You won’t regret it (but you might if you go with someone else)!!

BRUNO CURVED STAIRLIFT-Very sturdy, well built, you hardly notice it in our home. So much so, the young grandkids didn't even notice. We researched and checked out 5 other brands and companies. American Elevator was responsive and accommodating. Covid lockdown had begun and they even wore hazmat suits and masks to install. (Pierce went above and beyond) This was the best thing we could have done for my mother. Well worth it.

They installed a Stannah lift in my home, so I can get to the upstairs after 10 years of no access. The whole process was smooth, with 1 day installation that left no mess or unfinished business. The installers thoroughly explained how to use the lift so I had no problems later. I love my new lift, and highly recommend American Elevator Co.
