My Ames family member had a medical emergency and no one we knew lived nearby or had a key to their home. This family member was likely going to be in the hospital awhile and they had a cat. So it was imperative to get in to rescue the cat. Reid took my call patiently and calmly, then met the person who would caretake the cat at the house. Cat rescued! And then he kindly dropped off a spare key for safekeeping nearby.

Brought in a safe to see if it could be picked, said it would have to be drilled (it's a low security lock) to which I asked on the possibility of picking rather than drilling to avoid destroying the safe. They said they would give it a shot and call me back in a day or two. I then waited 6 days without hearing anything from them, so I stopped in to ask about it, they just said they couldn't pick it so I took it home to see if I could find the keys again as to not destroy it. I ended up being able to find the keys and now the keys don't even work with how much damage they did to the lock trying to open it. Now the lock HAS to he drilled open because they made it completely unusable, would go back to have them drill it but don't know If I can trust them with even that at this point

I called them about getting a second key fob programmed for my car and was told it would be between $50-$60. I arrive there 20 minutes later only to be told that it was $125 to program a remote that I already had. I needed it done so I told him to go ahead and do it anyway. After about 15 minutes he said the car was done so I went out to try the remote and it would not start the car only thing that worked was the unlock and lock buttons. He acknowledged the problem and said he would try programming it again. Same problem it wasn’t being recognized by the car only the locks and unlocks for working. I told him well thanks anyway and was going to leave and he told me he still had to charge me a minimum of $50 for a code that he had to buy then blamed it on the quality of the remote I had but never said anything about that in advance when they were quoting me the price. After being frustrated by that I went to George White to purchase a remote for $110 and they gave me all the programming instructions and said that I could program it myself no code or computer is needed. If you quote somebody a price to do a job and you cannot do that job you shouldn’t charge them especially if you don’t warn them about risks of being charged regardless of their service working. I will never go back there.

I locked my keys in my car and called a few services that all costed over $60 bucks and had rude customer service. I was already borderline crying and then I called here and they were super nice and ended up charging me $45. It took like twenty seconds and greatly improved my mood, so thank you!!!

He arrived fast and was very nice. He severely scratched/ground away at my vehicle in two spots before I encouraged him to try a different door that was locked but not secured all they way. He noticed the damage but did not say anything to me about it. I guesse I got my door unlocked but I also have to repaint my door jam. Clearly he didn't feel comfortable at unlocking a basic car door. Thanks
