I will rent from here again. I showed up just before they closed on a Saturday to rent a trailer at the last minute. They worked with me to get me what I needed quickly and at a good price. They were extremely helpful. Then Jason goes out of his way to make the return convenient and work for my schedule, not theirs. Great customer service at a great price.
Large variety of equipment for rent at a reasonable price. Good availability as well. They always work with you to resolve any malfunctions or issues.

I have used many rental companies over the year, and A1 has by far the best customer service I have received. They have been great to work with. Jason, specifically has been super helpful and communicative. Can't say enough good things about these guys. They are my "go to" rental place in Cedar Rapids.

I went to A-1 to buy a revolver. I’d previously went to a few other gun stores, in Cedar Rapids/ Marion area, that had bad customer service. After a google search I ended up on the A-1 site. I was a little surprised by the rental store and gun store combination but I saw what I wanted on the site so I decided to give it a try. When I went in to the A-1 store, I received a friendly greeting. They asked what they could help me with. I told them what I had saw on the website. I was shown to the gun area. We talked for a little while. At one point the guy I was talking to pointed out the EMS jacket I was wearing and said they couldn’t give a discount on guns themselves but the store appreciated my service and a lot of other things I would be eligible for a discount on (businesses that support fire/ems are a big positive to me).
They had the revolver I’d seen on the website, for the price it had said. It was what I wanted so, I bought it. The revolver next to it was a good price, and with the friendly atmosphere, I decided to buy it too.
I was very satisfied with the service/ friendly atmosphere. I will be recommending them.

Wanted to share my experience with A1 rental- I rented a skid loader for the weekend and found out after an hour of running that every time the loader was lifted the hoses were pinching. This created a hydraulic leak and need for new hoses. Of course we called the wrong person and was told we needed to replace ourselves. On a Saturday at noon this was no easy task, but done. After spending too much money for this and loosing a day of work, I called the office to ask for reimbursement on Monday. Jason was understanding and quickly reimbursed me. He also made sure that we call the correct number if it happens again. Because of that there will be a next time due to making it right! Thank you!
