We had Henry's build a small set of stairs, stain two decks, and stain the stairs on the front of our house. The steps they built are great, and the decks still look fine. However, the wood was not prepped and the stain was not applied following the stain manufacturer's recommendations, and the wood was still wet from a recent rain when the stain was applied, so the front stairs look awful after less than a year. There's just a superficial layer of stain that is peeling away all over. If you go with Henry's, be prepared for little to no communication about when people are coming to work, and be prepared for the stain to look really rough after less than a year. We paid way too much for it to already look the way it does.

We were very happy with the work of Henry's Painting and Contracting on painting the exterior of our house. First they replaced some boards that were in bad shape, they power washed the whole house, and did an outstanding job of scraping any loose paint and then painting primer on an exposed surfaces. The painters did an excellent job on the house and were very careful and detailed around doors and windows. We were very satisfied with their work and highly recommend them.

Great job painting our large family room and stair well. The appointment was made in a timely manner, the painter was polite, quiet and a perfectionist. Beautiful job!

PLEASE DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY FOR YOUR OWN MENTAL AND FISCAL HEALTH Reached a deal with these folks to stain my deck. They wanted a down payment of 50 percent. No problem. I sent over nearly 1000 dollars and didn’t hear back from them. I called three times a day for a week, called my lawyer thinking I had been ripped off. On day ten somebody got back to me and said my deck would be started the next day. It didn’t. In fact it didn’t start for another four days. That was me calling two times a day for another four days. When the worker was there he was perhaps the most pleasant experience I have had with anyone contracted on my home. Lovely guy. When he was done I was going to pay in two installments and was wondering where to send a check to. Via text message I asked the person that kept lying to me when a contractor would show up. I kept the texts expecting a lawsuit at any time honestly. I was told “just give us the full amount don’t you have a damned credit card!?!?” Use anybody else. Ever. Pay more. Pay more so you don’t have to use these people.

Our Condo HOA contracted with Henry's Painting to clean and stain our decks and screened in porches. Jose and his sister were the painters, and I was really impressed with their professionalism and attention to detail. Henry's is lucky to have such good employees. My deck is clean and it looks great!

We had our deck cleaned and stained in July 2023 and are thrilled with the results. The team at Henry's Painting & Contracting were responsive, professional, and took excellent care with power-washing, cleaning, sanding, and staining our deck. It looks so much better than it did, and the professional work shows. When we need to re-stain the deck in 2 - 3 years, we'll absolutely be calling the team at Henry's to do the work. Highly recommended.

Henry’s was very professional with how they handled my deck warranty. I contacted them because there were several areas on my deck that were flaking and faded and this should not have happened within a years time. The project manager came out and evaluated my deck, and within a week they sent out Javiar. He did a fantastic job and was very detailed with his work. My deck looks fantastic and my family and I appreciate their loyalty to follow through with their warranty and workmanship. I would highly recommend this company for interior or exterior, painting and/or staining services.

We finally finished our $30k exterior painting + deck project with Henry’s in Dec and I feel like a brand new person. I would check reviews every so often and wonder how they could possibly be getting so many positive reviews. I still question it. I would not book them! They are masters at sales and overpromised on basically everything from price to product to timeline. When things started to go wrong, we received attitude and gaslighting. There was a lot of internal arguing and blame game shenanigans happening. Matt Pemble (who has since been fired) quoted + assured us they would be able to accomplish everything we wanted in a timely manner (end of Aug). First, we had a very messy demo process. They left a ton of glass and debris in the yard that was never picked up for months. I eventually did this myself. Next, we had a minor foundation issue. When they poured concrete, it was bulging and they left giant rods in the side of the house that I begged to have shaved off. Matt said they would smooth out the concrete and get it to match, but I eventually had to give up on this issue after more serious issues demanded attention. They did leave a concrete mess all over that I had to clean. Meanwhile, the house was painted on all sides except the demo side. This was fairly smooth, although they painted over our custom window unit. Then we didn’t hear from them for weeks. I would call + text to check in on it + would be given excuses and told they were getting their showroom ready. Initially I was patient, but piles of lumber were sitting in our yard for 3 weeks, warping in the rain. More miscommunication + scheduling issues. Sometimes guys would come at 7 am sometimes 3 pm and always without warning. Over four months I cannot even count the amount of no-shows. When our deck finally goes up, it looks nothing like what I was promised. Henry sent Matt out the next morning. He had a horrible attitude and explained why they did it this way. I said it looks nothing like what we spoke about and he agreed but said that it would be much more money to get what I wanted… ? We came up with a game plan and I agreed to an extra $2k in lumber costs that I feel should have been planned from the jump. I was sending him design plans since he didn’t seem bothered at all to keep his word. He told me they would “cover” the staining and then later told me it wasn’t in our contract. At this point I demanded everything be in writing. He was lying about what was being said in person. New deck goes up. It’s okay. They’re not skilled with woodworking and would send different teams that didn't communicate with one another. They fired Matt halfway through our project + proceeded to blame everything on him while continuing to act unprofessionally. Any time they came to address an issue, they created new ones. Next, we had an issue matching paint where they did some siding patches. That was like pulling teeth to get them to remedy this. Eventually one very skilled painter came out + I thought he was taking care of everything and then they sent out a different crew the next day at 5 pm to paint our house in the pitch black before it was supposed to rain the next day, stayed until 9 pm and wondered why it was such a drippy mess the next day. Meanwhile, they kept acting like we were holding out on paying them when we addressed issues. Phil was so rude as well, telling me my “project was complete” and sending the final invoice until I would force him to come out and look at the messes! So many problems I just had to stomach so that I didn’t have to deal with them anymore. I shudder to think what this would look like if I wasn’t spending literal months hounding them daily. It was so exhausting and I’m not convinced everything will hold up over the years either. Absolutely not worth this amount of money and stress. They assured us it’s under warranty, but I will never deal with them again. We’ll need to hire someone in the Spring to correct their mess. WHAT A RELIEF we never have to talk to them again. Do not do business with them!

I am so happy with the exterior painting of my house that was just completed last week. The paint crew from Henry's, led by Cesar, were professional, pleasant and top notch as they worked on my historic cottage. It looks stunning! I have already begun recommending this business. Thank you all, especially Cesar!
