Muller plumbing has been around for quite a while. Records that came with our house indicated that they installed our boiler system many years ago. We have had them do some plumbing work in our kitchen remodel (disconnecting and reconnecting the sink--pretty basic) and the plumber did ok with that so we also asked them to service our boiler. Their schedule is difficult to get into for the "boiler season" but we got on the waitlist and waited. We have an older system that is a little more complex but they had been aware of it so we didn't think it would be a problem. When the boiler technician came out he took one look at it and deemed it too difficult to work with. Said he would come back when he had more time. After that we "mysteriously" were not able to get back on the schedule and finally learned that they had no intention of working on our boiler because it was too complicated. We scrambled, found a new company who was able to come out and get it up and running in about an hour. It was an easy fix. Lesson learned-- Muller does an ok job at basic plumbing and they are generally "nice", and professional (hence the 2 stars), but if you ask them to do anything they perceive might be difficult, they'll ghost you without any consideration for your family's safety and well being. I do not recommend them to anyone. Find another company in town or in Cedar Rapids.
Muller has taken care of my plumbing and boiler for decades. I trust them to take care of me in a timely manner. Thanks Muller!!!

They replaced my ancient boiler (converted from coal many years ago) and replaced it with a new efficient boiler. The old boiler was enormous (almost a museum piece) and I wondered how they would get it out. I consulted with Josh who reassured me that it could be done and told me about the advantages and disadvantages of different possible replacement boilers. The work was done in about two days while I was out of the country. Russ Steven promptly and helpfully answered all my questions before, during and after the work was done. They cleaned up very well and the new boiler works excellently. I was very pleased with all aspects of my experience with this company.

We've used Muller for decades and have always been satisfied with their work. Our ancient steam boiler gave out in December, just before the subzero temperatures set in. Muller came out immediately and, after pronouncing the old boiler dead, recommended a conversion from steam to hot-water heating, with a new hot-water boiler. These conversions are not easy and are always risky, but Josh, the Muller boiler expert, figured out a detailed plan and did some amazing problem solving along the way, managing to get an entire system up and running the day before the temperatures plummeted. The new system was put to the test immediately and performed beautifully--a real improvement over the steam, and much more efficient as well. Can't say enough about Josh and his expertise: a true professional.

Update on my last nasty review:
I couldn't get ahold of the on-call because apparently a pipe burst in their facility and put the electronics underwater so calls weren't getting forwarded. I left a pretty nasty message since I have an infant who needs hot water to get bottles cleaned and they still came out immediately once they realized the issue themselves and Russ had a new part in his truck to fix me up. Turns out the burner plate was burning irregularly so this will be probably be something that needs a follow-up but overall, these guys did a good service on me and it's Christmas night so that's a night anyone could've just ignored my plea for help and more than likely got away with it. 5-stars since Russ wasn't even the on-call but stepped up when the company needed it. Thanks guys. Changed from a 1-star to 5.

Always had great service for 28 yrs. Repaired my Furnace, water softener, plumbing. More recently, a New toilet & a New Furnace($6,400). Furnace quit 2 days ago(brr). I've called 3 times in 2 days & no one called back. or I would give them 4 stars. Might have to call one of their competitors.

No follow-up to call that was placed for service to a boiler that was put in based on being under new ownership and "too far away"...I live 15 miles from their offices. Needed new water heater and service check. Probably a couple of hours of work. I guess this is the sign of the times with businesses and their lack of desire to make a good impression on customers or make money. Guess I'll have to take my business elsewhere.

Courteous and prompt! The receptionist was very pleasant and courteous and they had the plumber scheduled within 2 days to take care of my issue. He was on time and found the problem immediately. Most of the business's I called either had an answering machine or seemed indifferent with my situation. Very good experience!

Amazing Plumbers. Had a fantastic experience working with these guys. Totally professional, hard working and very knowledgeable. They installed a new boiler for us and the new piping is a piece of art unto itself. Trip is a great communicator and patient explaining technical plumbing jargon. We have used them for years now and they are fantastic. Definitely a rare find. Highly recommend these guys.
