Steer clear of Alloway Electric. I had a ceiling fan removed and a small light fixture I purchased put in its place. It took almost four hours and ended up costing me nearly $400!!!! IT WAS A NIGHTMARE. The old guy (electrician???) moved at a snail's pace to start with and made numerous trips to his truck. . . each time putting on his lace-up boots and then taking them off again when he reentered the house. After the third time, I told him that wasn't necessary, and he replied "No problem" and continued doing it several more trips. I thought he was never going to leave, and I felt trapped in my own house, unable to speed things up. When he gave me the OUTRAGEOUS bill and I balked at paying that much when I had been quoted "about $100" when I was comparing prices, he said "Your charges start from the time I leave the company (in Garden City), so there's travel time including the return trip to the office, plus the hourly charge, so the $100 is only for actually taking the fan down." Then he added the final insult of "You were told all this on the phone." I WAS NOT or would have never ever hired them.
I don't write too many reviews but I have to give Alloway Electric a shout-out after my experience working with them. I had a couple bathroom outlets that for YEARS had been randomly tripping, always at the most inconvenient times, and after replacing almost every outlet on the circuit it was still happening so I finally caved and called Alloway. I was terrified we had a wiring problem in our house and thought it was going to end up costing hundreds to have someone come out and re-wire the entire circuit.
However, after describing the problem to the electrician on the phone, he diagnosed the issue and provided an incredibly simple fix that ended up solving the problem entirely. I WISH I'd known to call them 5 years ago!! Problem solved, cost: $0. Thanks Alloway!

These folks are my new electricians. Called this AM for removing and replacing 2 light fixtures. One was a bit more work, so needed a professional. 2 gentlemen showed up about 5 hours after calling. Very professional and diligent. Highly recommended. I have used these folks for years at my business office, so knew their reputation.

I worked with the owner Miles and with Steve and Jerry on a residential project and they are all top-notch professionals. They gave great advice and performed all their work quickly with a high level of quality. I am very much enjoying the final product and I would recommend Alloway for any residential electrical projects.

Alloway Electric are absolutely amazing to work with! We had some work done when we had our mobile home moved, and they went above and beyond in taking care of all of our needs, including several visits and they did everything possible to resolve all of our concerns! I can tell that this is the kind of company that truly cares about their clients and is willing to do whatever it takes to make sure their customers are happy! They have a new customer for life!

I have used Alloway Electric for years. They are the best at what they do. We just had some work done at our home and are having more work done next week. When I called to schedule the second visit, I was told that I was accidentally overcharged for labor and to make things right, the follow up work will be free of charge. WOW! I had no idea I was overcharged, so they are very honest and are going above and beyond to make things right. I am so completely impressed by this company!

I am a recently retired Program/Project Manager for one of the larger Energy Services Company. I had the opportunity of working directly with Alloway Electric on several million dollars worth of work in a number of States west of the Mississippi. Most of these projects were staged as multiple projects worked at the same time. Their process was seamless and the communication was excellent.
I was impressed by the professional manner that these projects were managed, and the quality is workmanship.
I personally did every final inspection with each owner and with all the projects that Alloway Electric worked, neither the owners representatives nor I could find a single punch list item.
I strongly recommend Alloway Electric.

Power went out at 7am for my neighborhood on a Sunday, Idaho Power took forever to get it back up (4pm) but at 3pm apparently a branch from my neighbor took out my masthead and power-line to the grid. Idaho Power disconnected me and left me a door hanger.
I called Alloway at 7pm when I found out, and it was too late to get anyone there but they'd call me the next day to schedule. I should mention this was in December and it was about 22 degrees outside. The next morning without a call Alloway Electricians were on site getting everything back up and running at 8am sharp. The bill was perfectly reasonable as well.
Good service, fast, and appropriate escalations for emergency work. $80/hr for emergency work not $100+ like another guy states.

We've used Alloway on two separate jobs in the last week. Two separate venues, two different customers, two different scopes - all amazing service! Their technicians are professional, efficient, and knowledgeable. Their office staff is supportive and responsive. Alloway will be our go-to company for all future electrical work, they are fantastic!
