We had doors and windows installed five years ago by their contractors. This week, when installing new flooring, we've come to find that they were initially installed incorrectly, with no proper flashings installed at the doors at the least; we also have 7 windows they most likely also installed incorrectly. I am told by their service that CG is washing all responsibility due to a laughable one year labor warranty. What this means to you- if they send someone to install something and the installer is good at covering their poor craftsmanship, you may find your home rotting years later at your responsibility. Stay away from Climate Guard, Studio 41, and anyone else involved if they tell you this is normal. Based on other reviews, it's clear they don't actually care about the customers and only praise positive feedback. UPDATE: While we can't allow our GC to open anything up yet to truly assess the damage ClimateGuard has caused to our home (insurance/lawyer needs to look at unaltered), the current estimate for damages is in tune of $20-40k, potentially much higher. ClimateGuard is also in breach of IL building code by not installing flashings on doors/windows. If you're being told by their representative that your home is not humid/too humid and trying to place blame elsewhere, have someone make sure they did not also botch your install. UPDATE5: Two reps came out to the home, Chris and Jose. Immediate attempt to deflect responsibility, trying to blame "existing" damage on the bad/not-to-code install. After some arguments, Chris admitted fault to both improperly installing doors without flashings, not to code, and the fact their crew covered up whatever they may have found, and did not notify a single person of any issue whatsoever. Their attempts at rectifying this are just as ridiculous as everything else, with two of our doors and floor damage offered to be replaced. Zero care or concern for the other two doors, or the 7 windows that may be hung improperly as well. Waiting on a certified inspection report to take this further. UPDATE6: Company, specifically Jose P, tried to send a crew and insist on fixing this to my wife, all without obtaining any required authorization. When we spoke, he claimed to always get the necessary paperwork first, but were about to begin work without actually doing the step they claimed they always do. Forced them to leave, notified in writing through email that an official proper proposal will first be required. UPDATE7: We're finally seemingly getting on the same page. Awaiting an official proposal we could then work off of and figure out what to do next. At the very least, Jose's been trying to now rectify this. UPDATE8: The proposal was a joke, and ultimately we decided it's for the better well being of the home to not further allow these amateurs to touch anything else inside. When the crew that installed replacement patio doors (from a competitor) was removing them, the doors were literally falling apart due to the damage improper installation has caused over the last 5 years. The vinyl swelled up and warped in that time, all exposed to water/elements expanding and shrinking. In addition, we found a couple other places where structural wood was either removed and not replaced, or was removed and left as a literal hole. Do yourself a favor and stay very far away from these people, as they absolutely will damage your home if allowed. We're now looking to replace our main window as it's also been installed without any flashing/sill/moisture mitigation as mentioned above, and is definitely leaking in/out heat/cold over the seaons costing us money. Absolute disgrace of a "professional". If the right person happens to begin a class action lawsuit, please reach out to me through here and I will happily assist/participate however needed.

I used Climate Guard for the first time and had a great experience. Milan Stehlik came out to measure my 16 windows and patio door and was our project manager. All windows and patio door were perfectly measured and arrived with no issues. Major shout out to our installers, Igor and Vasil. Kind and professional. They installed all 16 windows and the patio door in one day. Casing and all gaps were caulked immaculately. All three gentlemen were top notch. Windows look great and work great. Thank you to Milan, Igor and Vasil. Would recommend Climate Guard and this crew.

I’m a long time customer of Climate Guard bought windows last year for my uncles home and just this week had new windows installed at my parents. Climate Guard never disappoints, below is my thank you to the sales rep who serviced my parents. Happy 4th Fredi, I hope you're doing well! Thank you so much for your assistance in getting my parent's installation completed, as always Climate Guard did not disappoint with installation and quality of work. I have been a long-time customer having had windows put in at my home and a 2 flat I used to own. I appreciate your attention to this matter, and look forward to referring you to future clients!

The ClimateGuard team was great throughout the process of replacing my two sliding doors. Margaret O. in the office was great walking through the various pricing options, which was very competitive and fair. Their scheduling team was prompt, the install crew on site were fantastic, and they had multiple QAQC inspectors on site for a 1-day install, including excellent follow-up by Lushan. A+++!

This is our experience with ClimateGuard Windows and their installation crew. Materials and services that have been fully paid for never provided or properly completed. We have been ignored by multiple contacts. Our impression is that they have ghosted us. Installation day was 6/7/22. Our new bathroom window was supposed to have capping on inside, never completed. The new wood window frame installed using 6 scrap pieces of wood, not the standard 4 continuous boards. Outside capping with gap in corner with wood frame exposed. Flashing that is not done according to climateguard installation instructions by climateguard installation crew. Damage done to our existing window weatherstripping. The list goes on; see photos. The last payment was processed without our authorization because they had our credit card on file. After waiting over a year for them to rectify, no lasting measures have been taken to address our concerns. And no reimbursement has been issued.

We had ClimateGuard windows installed in our newly built house two years ago, and in general they have been okay. They are a lower profile bezel design, which is nice to maximize the light, but like a lot of newer windows, they do build up frost when the interior humidity is a bit higher in the winter. They operate smoothly, and seal well, but aren't the highest-quality in appearance. I'm most baffled by their mixed finish quality and features (such as second-floor casement windows that have no child guards). But my review here is really about my awful experience at the service center when trying to get a sash of a small window replaced because the seal had broken, causing moisture and crazing between panes. Despite it being a small window, they wanted $75 to send out a crew to inspect and measure, and $100 to install the new sash (which takes five seconds). I decided to do it myself and go in person, and my first impression was that the place is a disorganized mess. Lots of people milling around from workers to contractors. After standing around for awhile looking for help, I was finally directed to a customer service rep who was on her personal phone and couldn't have cared less about helping me. When I explained the situation and showed her the sash, she said "Really? You think that's a broken seal? You think we should fix that?" When I responded affirmatively, she reluctantly took down my info, made me put some tape with a number on the sash and put it on a cart. She told me to leave and that they would call in a week if they deemed it worth fixing. So that's one example of how they treat their customers. I've owned several properties and replaced lots of windows in the past. While it hasn't always been smooth sailing with other brands, never have I had a company not willing to stand by their quality, and be so openly rude to a customer and questioning my concerns. I'm sure others have had great experiences with ClimateGuard, so take my experience for what it's worth, but in the future I will look elsewhere, and cannot recommend them at all.
