Overall

This place is the best in town. Worked hard, fast, very professional, and the pool looks amazing. Whenever I have a question or concern they get back to me right away. There really is no better place to have do your pool if you want it done right and if you want it to look good. I highly recommend this place!

We had been happy customers for five years, but no more. First, they never come out to open or close your pool when they say they will, no matter how far in advance you schedule. We called months in advance and requested a May opening; they didn't come until weeks later in June and blamed it on the rain. (We're actually in a drought this year, and only had a couple rainy days -- nothing to justify being that late.)

Second, their mark-ups for chemicals and parts are outrageous. They charge $9/gallon for liquid shock ($4 at Menards), $51 for algaecide treatment ($7 at Menards), $14 for pool salt ($7 at Menards), and they charged me $350 for a replacement filter valve that I found for under $200 on Amazon. I understand that they need to make a profit, but these prices are insane.

Third, they charge $125 per service call, and they will only fix one thing per service call. For example, after my pool was opened, I called to request service on the pool heater (it was leaking, and it didn't kick on), and to request a new valve. They charged me one service call to fix the leak, another service call to replace the valve, and they still haven't fixed the issues preventing the heater from turning on (but I'm sure they'll charge yet another $125 to come out and tell me they don't have the part, and a fourth $125 service call to actually fix it).

Fourth, they are trying to charge me for using my own chemicals. (I left out enough pool shock to open the pool, and they used it -- but then sent an invoice for their exorbitantly priced chemicals that they didn't even use.) I understand that techs are busy, and this could have been an honest mistake -- but they so far have refused to fix it, and are saying I owe them for chemicals I did not use.

Fifth, good luck getting through to anyone. Call during business hours, and you'll have to leave a message and hope that someone calls back in a few days. Emails go unanswered for 3+ days.

There are other options in Springfield. Steer clear of Lambert.

Needed auto cover fixed on inground pool. When I called, they were estimating it was going to take two weeks to get a service person out here but I was pleasantly surprised within three days to have a very knowledgeable, professional service person come and fix not only what I thought was a problem, but additional underlying problems as well! the other two Springfield pool places I called were very rude and not interested in my business and told me to call an out-of-state company to come and fix the problem because it was a manufacturers issue. Thank you so much to Lambert pools and their staff and service person for getting the job done above and beyond. Highly recommend Lambert pools to anyone.

They have always been there for us what ever our pool needs were. Pool maintenance is excellent and quick turn around for pools that go wrong.(It happens) If you want a pool or want pool maintenance look no further Lambert Pools is the best way to go. They have been consistently great!

My sister used this company to service her pool and the job they did was below professional. Liner had come off several times. Actually used quarters to hold the liner in place, tried to charge for services not performed and left her with all the clean up. Even sent her a message (after trying to talk to a real person in the office) stating "we are not retail so don't have someone just sitting in the office watching phones all day".
I'm sure they can do better.

We have had these guys as our pool company for a year and will be moving on. They never let you know when they are coming. If they do, the likelihood of them being there on schedule is low. We were told our pool would be open Thursday so we scheduled a party for Saturday. They never showed up. After contacting them this morning (Saturday), letting the owner know the situation, (mind you he knew we had that party planned), he said they would get there eventually. Party started at 3. It is 4pm. There is no way the chemicals will be ready in time. You are better off servicing yourself if you expect something to be done in a timely manner. They are also expensive. Once they get started for the year they do okay work but I would prefer to work with a company that wants to help us and wants our business.

Our pool motor quit the day of our grandson’s 13th birthday “quarantine” party of 5. Shaun had someone out within hours and replaced the motor. Lambert’s customer service is simply the best in the area.

I initially called Lambert Pools because I had a leak coming from the hose that went into the pool pump. They took the pump back to their store for a few days. They hooked it back up and now it works fine. The only gripe I have is that I was charged an astronomically inflated fee of nearly $340. $175 of that was connected and re-connecting the pump back to the pool - really? I wanted to give them 1 star because I could have gotten a new pump altogether for $340 dollars, but decided to go with 2 stars since, well, the pump is working again. I most certainly will not be contacting this place again.
