Teran Concrete is professional and thorough. I hired Teran to replace my garage floor and driveway. Jim, the owner of this family business, took the time to explain the scope of the project as well as the materials he uses. Jim was onsite for the pour. It is clear that Jim's reputation matters to him. He takes the time to make sure the job gets done right.
Jim and his team did an outstanding job on our new concrete driveway (May 2024). From the quality of the concrete to the precision of the work, everything was top-notch. We had Teran Concrete pour a concrete patio around our garage in our backyard. Jim came out quickly to give an estimate, and he suggested some different options for how best to achieve our project goals. His estimate was thorough and competitive (compared to the other estimates we received), and he accommodated several small changes and additions to the project fairly. His crew was professional, courteous, and clean, and the work they did was excellent. I would hire Teran Concrete again without any hesitation.

We used Teran Concrete Construction to replace our old asphalt driveway as well as a front stoop and sidewalk. As a structural engineer with over 55 years experience in the concrete construction industry I was very sensitive to the need to retain a reputable, knowledgeable, and experienced contractor. From my first conversation with Jim Teran I could tell his company met those criteria. He understood the importance of concrete mixture selection and construction practices, and most importantly I sensed he cared about doing quality work. He provided a detailed proposal that clearly defined the scope of the work, the materials to be used, and the itemized costs. This was in contrast to two other bids we received that gave the price but virtually no detail. Even though Teran was not the lowest bid, we selected them for the project, and it turned out to be the right choice.
In watching their work, it was evident that Teran’s crew was experienced and efficient. They were careful in prepping areas for concrete placement which helped to ensure that the specified thickness and proper grading of the pavement would be achieved. Their placement practices were very good with no unnecessary delays that would have resulted in defects. Their finishing work was excellent and provided a smooth and well-drained surface. That is very difficult to do in large areas of concrete flatwork. No standing water means less potential for future freeze-thaw deterioration. They used saw-cut joints on the driveway to provide crack control.
We are very pleased with the end product and the quality of the work. We would not hesitate to use Teran for other projects.

Teran Concrete replaced our driveway, walkway, and front stoop and we are very happy with the end result. Jim Teran is incredibly knowledgeable about concrete as well as the local requirements. The crew was professional, showed up timely every day, and worked hard while paying attention to detail. Jim was present for most of the project and assisted with the pour to make sure everything went smoothly. We would recommend Teran Concrete based on our experience!

Jim and his team were so great to work with. We have a huge driveway that was previously asphalt. They did the driveway, inside of the garage, and removed some service sidewalks. We had a handful of changes come up and Jim was very reasonable and fair with the changes. The company did quality work and were pleasant to work with.

I hired Teran to lay and widen a new drive, replace my sidewalk and lay a new patio. The reason I originally wanted to hire Teran was because of the thorough work I watched them do when replacing my neighbors drive. I researched them online as well and found nothing but rave reviews.
It was clear I hired the right company after my first conversation with Jim. His passion for doing quality work really stands out. He doesn’t cut corners and uses the most durable materials.
On to the work…
I was not disappointed one bit. They were incredibly thorough. Teran even pointed out several simple solutions for issues we’ve had since we moved here back in ‘09 and just kinda “forgot” about. These simple little changes made all the difference in the world.
Everything looks amazing. Even months after the job was finished, I have complete strangers stop in front of my house and compliment on how beautiful everything looks.
One last thing, Jim is also not done with you once the job is done. He makes sure you are happy and also ensures you take good care of the concrete and stays on you about following the regular maintenance.
Teran is definitely your team if you want good honest work!

I am a professional civil engineer working as a large commercial construction superintendent for most of my 40 year career. I've supervised the placement of many concrete projects, so I know concrete and so does Jim Teran, owner of Teran Concrete. He was the first and only quote I received for my driveway replacement. My wife saw Jim's sign alongside a new driveway in our neighborhood. Jim was on time for the review of what we wanted from him. It was obvious to me that Jim knows how to place concrete the right way that will perform properly for decades. His fairly priced and thorough estimate was what I expected from someone who does concrete the right way. He started the project the day after the city gave me the permit and completed the work in a timely manner while properly protecting my house and the neighbor's properties. His crew cleaned up at the end of each workday and they were all very courteous. His foreman interacted with the city inspectors professionally. All of the issues we encountered were dealt with upfront and fairly. I highly recommend Teran Concrete.

Jim Teran and crew are best in the business. There is a reason why they have been in demand for 50+ years. I'm beyond impressed with Jim's work, his attention to detail, and most importantly, Jim's integrity. A real measure of the company/person is how they respond after the transaction has taken place; after the money has exchanged hands. We noticed a crack in our driveway two weeks after the crew left. No reflection on Jim's work - it's life, things happen, might have been a truck. Jim worked out a deal with me to fix it. What thoroughly impressed me is that Jim didn't resort to patchwork or shortcuts. He went all-in and replaced a sizable section of driveway around the crack. Jim truly takes pride in his work and doesn't settle until he has delighted you. If you are doing any concrete construction, you want Jim on your side. I have huge respect for Jim's professionalism and high-quality work.
